A circle of ponies wearing hooded purple cloaks gathered around an empty field in the midst of night, far away from any towns to prevent any interruptions. Everything was almost ready, all they were waiting for was one ingredient. Another hooded pony came walking towards the others holding shattered blue fragments of something in its magical hold. The group spread out enough to allow the unicorn passage. The unicorn removed its hood revealing a silver stallion with a blood red long wavy mane and emerald green eyes. He used his hoof to etch a circle with a moon on top and a sun on the bottom.

He looked towards the group sternly, "Has the item been acquired?"

A large stallion, most likely an earthpony due to its rather large size stepped forward and gave the unicorn nine dark crystals. "These were all I could gather without attracting too much attention."

"This will do...with this, we now have all we need to bring forth a creation except for one thing..." The unicorn reached under his, pulling out a knife then cut his right hoof across. Once the blood began to flow, he walked around, dripping blood on the ground and the objects they had gathered. The others closed their eyes and began chanting as this was happening, causing the circle to glow bright red. The unicorn stepped out and smiled as the crystals and shattered blue remnants began hovering in the air.

The wind began to pick up, the sky darkened as their ritual spell began to take effect and a black sphere formed. However, the unicorn began to get pulled into the sphere by force. He attempted to tell the others to stop the ritual but only silence left his mouth. With panic in his mind, he tried to dig into the ground and use his magic to get away only to realize that his magic wouldn't work and no matter how much he dug into the dirt, he was being dragged. Once the others opened their eyes and saw what was happening, they stopped but it was too late as the unicorn was able to let out a scream before he was finally sucked in and then a bright flash of light blinded everyone.

When their vision returned a dark grey unicorn stallion stood where the sphere once was. He was the size of an earth pony, his mane was a medium length black and red striped mane and tail. The eyes of the pony were bright ruby red, almost glowing in the contrast of the dark night. The cutie mark adorned on his flank being red sun with a black center, like a solar eclipse.

The large unicorn looked around its surroundings then spotted the hooded ponies staring at him. His voice sounding dark, deep yet sophisticated as if he were one of the high class ponies of Canterlot. "Surprised, are you? Didn't you know what you would accomplish?"

The earth pony being the only one who seemingly could find his voice spoke, "We knew whatwe were attempting to do but we had not expected the loss of our leader or just how you would be. However, with you now, you can lead us to a new era...to overthrow the princesses and let chaos and darkness spread through the land."

The unicorn shook his head dismissively, "I will not be doing that. That is your goal, I intend to make my own goal...find my own purpose in this world."

The answer wasn't recieved greatly as the group began shouting in anger with the earth pony walking up to the unicorn and picking him up by the neck. "Listen here, you don't have a choice here. You were created to be our tool and nothing more...you understand?"

The unicorn grinned, "Oh I understand."His horn glowed a dark red then a second later the sound of a object piercing followed by the coughing of blodd by the earth pony before. When he looked, he saw a dark crystal had grown from the ground underneath him and pierced clear through his torso.

"I understand completely now." The unicorn continued as he freed himself from the earth pony's grip stepped back to the ground, "If I wish to find my own purpose...I must eliminate each and every one of you." He finished it with a wide evil grin, revealing the sharp teeth in his mouth as he laughed seeing the other hooded ponies run realizing what they had done was a mistake. However, black crystal walls surrounded everyone leaving them stuck with him. The crystals kelt growing, slowly sealing off the sky as the unicorn stepped closer to them. With the last shred of moonlight being sealed off, all that was heard was the sound of slicing flesh and screams of horror.
