"Fuuuuck Aubrey..."

Aubrey's sweet recollection of last night was interrupted by the harsh sound of his Blackberry ringtone.
Groaning in slight frustration, he stretched his arms to retrieve the phone from its place on the bedside table and without looking at the caller ID he answered the call.

"Hello?"

"Yo what's gwanin fam?" Niko's voice boomed with excitement causing a weak laugh to escape from Aubrey's mouth.

"Really Neeks? You do know it's like 6am out here?"

"Oops my bad, you hungover or what?"

"Trust me, you don't want to know..." Aubrey opted to keep the details about last night to himself.

"Oh yeah, Oliver wanted me to remind you that you're coming to Houston this weekend to do all the last minute mixing and shit for the album."

"Cool, erm tell him that I've sent the final recordings to Noel."

"Aight, take care man."

"You too, send my love to Coco and baby Ezee."

Once Niko ended the call, Aubrey headed towards the bathroom to carry out his daily hygiene routine. His chat with Niko reminded him that his anticipated debut album was due to drop in less than 2 weeks.

If any of the guys knew that one of his hobbies was singing in the shower, Aubrey would never hear the end of it.

After a quick shower he quickly put on a pair of jeans, a classic grey hoodie and set off to see Sherrie.

Damn it!

Sherrie opted to not go out. Instead she frantically walked around her bedroom in circles. Mavado had put her in a difficult position. Her choice to fall for Aubrey meant he had a bounty on his head.

As a lightskin guy from Canada, Aubrey for sure knew that he would be singled out on the streets within the ghetto. Unfortunately this was the only way he could get to Sherrie's house.

He has heard a few stories about some of the gang culture from his friends with Caribbean backgrounds. However he didn't take them seriously – until now. He had not been this scared ever since some cyattie had set him up to be jumped by some dudes in Toronto back in 2009.
