Somewhere in between wedding vows, there first married kiss and a quick boarding of a last minute flight to Paris they found themselves in peer utter blissful happiness. Daniel was laying in his lovers arms when they both woke up, he couldn't imagine being anymore happy than right now.

"I cant believe we actually did it. It still feels like we met yesterday." Daniel was remembering the first time Tom and him had met as young children.

"Remember our first night in new york?" Tom recalled his 19th birthday when him and Daniel had shared a room.

"That feels like so long ago, we were just young kids in love." Daniel shifted so he could see his face, both of them felt sleep deprived. "What do you think about getting a place to stay here?"

"Like a house?" Toms eyes brows narrowed, he never gave it much thought before.

"If you would like a house we can get one.. I was thinking of more a apartment, something small." Daniel had always wanted his own place in Paris, it was one of his favourite city's to vacation in.

"Apartment sounds nice babe." Tom leaned down to kiss his husband.

"Mm...Please don't start this again. I don't think I have the strength..." Daniel was now under his husband, Tom was grabbing his face as he kissed him.

***********
Life had returned to reality a week later, both had returned home and were preparing for the holidays. Daniel and Toms family were coming over to there place and both of them were up to there necks in stress.

"All Im saying is we should pick a caterer and be done with it." Daniel was frustrated with his parter, Tom wanted to do a homemade dinner but Daniel didn't want to commit to that level of stress. "We know nothing about cooking and hosting a party for over twenty people." Both of them were standing in there kitchen, they had just finished dinner.

"I agreed to hiring servers and decorators. Im cooking dinner whether you like it or not." Tom slammed his plate in the sink and made his way to the bedroom.

"Real mature, walk away mid conversation." Daniel yelled after him as he walked away.

"No what's mature Daniel is not listening to me when I told you how important cooking dinner is to me. My family is traditional, not like yours."

"And what's that suppose to mean?"The tension between them was dark , neither of them had argued like this before.

"I didn't mean it like that, its just..."Tom knew what he said sounded worse than what he meant.

"Well maybe I'll just go to my rich snobby family for Christmas dinner, you know since were so uptight." Daniel stormed into there bedroom, he didn't want to be near Tom right now. "And if you would have listened to me before you would know I only suggested hiring a caterer because we are going to be so busy doing a million other things that day- I thought it would be nice to worry about one less thing."

"And if you would have listened to me, that's what Christmas is all about! You stress out all day and enjoy the evening with your family." Tom had heard Daniel slam the bathroom door, he couldn't stand when Daniel was acting like this so he decided to grab his coat and leave.

Daniel didn't realize Tom had left until a half hour later, he knew he should call him and apologize but couldn't bare admitting he was wrong. He hoped Tom would come back in the middle of the night, climb into bed and pretend nothing was wrong. But he didn't, finally when he decided to check his phone is when he noticed Tom had went out with his friends. Daniel couldn't believe the maturity in Tom, they were having there first argument as a married couple and instead of working things out with one another, Tom took the easy way out. Daniel decided to go spend a couple days with his family so he left a note on the table and left.
