this pregnancy is going toooo slow so this is a two month time jump meaning Harry is three months and it is currently Emily's birthday!!!

Harry and Louis didn't get around to that date.

They just haven't had the time. With Harry getting more and more, well, pregnant, it's been a chaotic two months. Harry has a nice little bump that shows through tight shirts and the morning sickness is completely gone. Louis is around a lot more often, even sleeping over sometimes, and things are good.

Until Emily's birthday.

"I just think sometimes you don't give Emily the attention she deserves," Harry explains after Louis gets defensive over the amount of attention paid to the girls. "It's easy to give attention to Katie. She's you. She's more outgoing and she likes all eyes on her."

Louis just huffs as Harry turns around, leaning against the counter and crossing his arms. "You neglect her like you neglected me. She doesn't deserve that. You're better now, obviously, but it still happened and they do say history repeats itself."

Louis looks like a fish out of water, eyes wide and mouth opening and closing. He wants to argue. Wants to defend himself and tell Harry that is not true, but it is true. Harry and Emily are very alike, and he relates to Katie more because of how alike the two of them are. He deflates, running his fingers through his hair. "You're right," He sighs. Harry just nods. "I'll uh...take her to Harry Potter world or whatever it's called. It's in London."

Harry nods approvingly, smiling. "Good. No alcohol, no peppers, and not too much junk food," Louis nods, agreeing. Harry leans over and pecks his cheek. "Thank you. She's going to really enjoy it, I promise."

"So," Louis clears his throat, hands gripping the steering wheel tightly. He's always terrified of getting into an accident, even when he's alone. If the girls or Harry are in the car with him his anxiety worsens. Every time they break he holds his arm out in front of Harry and glances at the girls in the rearview mirror. "How's school going?"

"Good," Emily replies, hands in her lap and legs swinging. She obviously isn't annoyed by Louis' multiple awkward questions. "I got all good marks, so Papa said he'd try and find tickets to see a play of The Sorcerer's Stone."

"That's good," Louis hums. He's proud of Emily, so proud, but he doesn't know how to express it. He doesn't know why he feels like he can't talk to his own daughter. Maybe because she's old enough to know how he treated Harry. She lived through the downfall. Katie was too young.

"Papa told me you got a new job," She mentions, swinging her legs a little. "Do you like it?"

Louis smiles. She's definitely Harry's daughter. "Yeah, I do," He admits, and he can't help but smile wider when she smiles too. "It's really nice."

"When I grow up, I want to be a palaeontologist," Emily says, and Louis almost gapes at both her pronunciation of palaeontologist and how she even knows what that is. "I wanted to be a wizard, but Papa said they aren't real."

Louis chuckles. "Why a palaeontologist?" He asks curiously, genuinely interested. He feels as though Emily would never go out and just say that if Katie were around. Maybe she feels as though Louis doesn't care about her when Katie is around? He has to keep that in mind.

"Because there's a lot that we don't know about dinosaurs, and they're so interesting," She explains, eyes full of passion. "What did you want to be when you were little?"
