You've actually got to be kidding me. What are the odds, out of all the clubs in this stupid town my childhood crush Aaron would be at this one.
Aaron does not look the same as I remembered him. His jawline is chiseled and defined, he also grew to be well over six feet tall. His dirty blonde hair has that sexy tousled look and his pink perfect lips seem to be upturned into a seductive smirk.
"Is that you Amina?" Aaron asks his eyes taking in my adult form.
"Uh yeah this is she, I mean me" I stutter as I try calming my heartbeat. I actually want to punch myself in the face at this moment. I am acting like the fumbling little girl Aaron knew me to be but I changed after these eight years! I have to show Aaron the woman I am, not the girl he use to know.
"Wow honestly if it weren't for your eyes, I would have never recognized you! You look so different" Aaron replies, ignoring the awkwardness I was creating.
Well yeah I thought. I worked hard to look this way. Eating right and working out at the gym helped to diminish the baby fat I use to carry all throughout elementary school. I would also like to thank this little thing called leave in conditioner to help me tame that mini Michael Jackson afro I use to rock as a child. Also knowing how to apply makeup really helps too.
"Uh thanks, puberty worked in my favour" I reply as I try taking a step away from Aaron and his intoxicating smell.
"You look good too Aaron, although I miss those chubby cheeks of yours."
"Ha yeah okay! I swear I looked like a chipmunk for the longest time! Anyways how have things been going for you Amina? Any man in your life" he asks giving me his signature cheeky grin.
"Well yeah I am dating a guy right now, who evidently is unaware of it" I joke instantly thinking about my infatuation with the gorgeous Jon Snow. If only he knew that I, a woman at the age of 21 has never actually been on a date or even kissed a boy.
I hear Aaron's deep laugh resonate through the club, instantly feeling a pang in my chest. God I missed his laugh.
"What about you Aaron? Who's the girl you're with?"
"Funny thing, you remember Jennifer White? Well we have been dating actually for the past five years."
What did he just say Jennifer? Not fucking Jennifer White! The girl who bullied me during my time in elementary school. That girl made my life a living hell by yelling Paki at me every time she saw me in the halls. Worst thing was I never knew why she hated me so much to the point that I could never make any friends. Everyone was scared to piss off Jennifer except Taylor and Aaron. But how can he date that bitch? I guess simply because she has that quintessential girl next door look with her long blonde hair, skinny body, and blue eyes.
Sighing I nod my head at Aaron trying to find a way on how I could steer the conversation into a more positive direction.
"In fact here she comes," he says directing my gaze towards an approaching figure.
Oh lawd I always thought Jon Snow was my secret boyfriend LOL 😏 I mean look at him!

Also Paul Wesley is one sexy vampire so I thought he'd be a great Aaron! As for Sara Paxton well she became my inspiration for Jennifer because I was watching Aquamarine and she just looked so gorgeous in that movie 😁
