Nora sighed. "I...I don't know...I don't want Ren to worry."

Salem smiled and nodded. "I know. We will be back before he wakes, however."

The girl smiled. "Okay then. I want to see my parents."

Salem held out her hand, and Nora took it. Immediately, her vision went black.

When the girl woke up, she was lying on a soft bed for the first time in months. Nora sat up, looking around her. The last thing she remembered was the Lady Salem promising she could see her parents.

She stood up, rolling her shoulder and walking to the door. When she opened it, Salem was there, smiling at her. "Oh, good. You're awake. I've never experienced that reaction to teleportation between planes before."

Nora tilted her head, confused. "Reaction? What happened?"

Salem waved her hand. "Like I said before, your bond with your team was strong, almost stronger than my power. But I was able to nullify the bond, allowing you access to my plane. Your brain couldn't process the amount of teleportation that was happening because I didn't prepare you enough, so you passed out."

Nora frowned. "Oh. Well, I'm here now, right? I can still see my parents?" There was a slight touch of desperation in her voice, like she was afraid she wouldn't have the chance anymore. Then something dawned on her. "Wait, you said you've never experienced this reaction before. Have you teleported other people here?"

Salem smiled. "You can still see your parents, child." Nora relaxed. "And, yes, I have teleported other people here. Six others, in fact, some are still here now. Would you like to meet them?"

The redheaded girl smiled. "Sure! Then we can see my parents."

Salem led her to a room that had a table with seven chairs around it. At the head of the table, there was a purple crystal throne, which Salem sat down in. She motioned to the seat closest to her on the right. "Sit, child. They will be here any moment."

Nora sat down, looking around her at the mystery of the room. Suddenly, the double doors swung open, and two familiar faces walked in.

Nora gasped. "Emerald? Mercury? What are you doing here?"

Emerald's eyes widened, and Mercury smirked. "Valkyrie. I could ask you the same question. Thought you would stay away after..."

Salem's eyes flashed red, and her hand came down on the table, causing Emerald to jump and Mercury to wince. "Mercury. Sit down."

Nora glared at the boy as he sat down, Emerald next to him. Salem turned her attention to Nora. "My apologies for his behavior. He is arrogant, but I would like to think his partner keeps him in line." Emerald smiled and inclined her head. "Thank you, Lady Salem."

Salem nodded, the red glow in her eyes fading. "Now, Nora. Do you still want to see your parents?"

The girl nodded vigorously. "More than anything."

Salem stood, waving a hand in Mercury's direction. "You are dismissed."

Mercury stood up, and walked out, Emerald beginning to follow him. Salem stopped the mint-haired thief, smiling. "No, Emerald. I would like you to help me with contacting Nora's parents."

Emerald came to stand next to Nora, her own red eyes sparkling. "How can I help, my lady?" Salem looked pleased at Emerald's willingness, and turned to Nora. "Can you picture your parents in your mind?"

Nora shook her head sadly. "I was young when they died. I don't fully remember what they looked like."

Salem nodded slowly. "All right. Emerald, I have an image of her parents in my mind, could you take my hand for a moment?"
