It'd been a week since I'd had any interaction with Shima, and I was glad. Already, I'd found a group of friends; rejects, like me. They called themselves the Fuyona - the unwanted, and I fit in perfectly.
After scanning the green for any sight of my new friends, I spotted them and quickly scurried over, sitting down next to Kaito, my favourite of the group.
He had light blonde hair that messily fell over his face, and constantly covered his eyes. Both the bridge of his nose, and his upper cheekbones were dusted with a plethora of pale freckles. Kaito was short and a bit heavier-set than other boys at his height, yet it seemed to fit him. He only ever wore his True Cross Academy blazer, if it had been decorated with various pins, buttons, and stickers.
He was my favourite because of his music taste. We sat together, generally every day, and simply discussed the bands that we had been listening to lately.
"Kin-chan!" He yelled when he spotted me, holding out his arms for a hug.
I only accepted pet names from Kaito, gladly hugging the small boy when I reached him.
"Kaito!"
"Hey, hey-hey-hey!" He began, holding out a spare pair of headphones. I felt a grin emerge onto my face, understanding that he would be sharing a new song with me. "New one, check it out, get it while it's.... hot," with the last word, he added a quick wink.
I rolled my eyes at him, and slipped on the headphones. "Name and artist?" Our basic format for discovery was to play the song to each other, but announce the song name and the artist before we started, just to confirm that we had no previous knowledge of them.
It seemed as though we were in a contest, as to who could discover the most unknown songs.
"All Men Are Pigs by Studio Killers."
"Oh wow, and what does that say about your taste in music?" I teased once I had heard the title.
"I'm not typical, and Simmone... You're just cynical!" He quoted the song, "I am better than you think, let me buy you a drink. Cha-mon! I'm not so typical at all."
I giggled at the song and Kaito's behavior, before closing my eyes and finding my way into the music. However, it became hard to lose focus, as an arm snaked over my back.
My eyes snapped open, my sight focusing on a smirking Shima.
"Fuck you," I said blankly, turning away from him.
"Calm down, Kin-chan. There's plenty of time for that later. Just answer me this," he playfully retorted.
"What?" I groaned. Already, Kaito had left me, probably upon seeing Shima. I was ashamed to be seen with the cocky boy, and I assumed that Kaito was even more so.
"When?" Shima inched closer, "Where?" Another scoot up, "And how hard?"
"Never," I scooted away, "no where," yet another one, "and as hard as you'd like."
He smirked. "How about here, now, and as hard as I'd like?"
"No," I growled.
"But you're my girlfriend, remember? Bon and Koneko are expecting some action from us," he winked, and gestured to the two boys whom had spotted me in the boys' dorm.
Bon and Koneko were their names, apparently. They stood near to the bench we were at, both seemed to be in conversation with one another.
I remained silent, flinching when Shima rubbed circles into my back.
"I'm going to gauge your eyeballs out," I mumbled.
"Don't be like that, my akachan," he cooed over me. "You'll still have to keep up this act if you'd like to remain in good standings. Otherwise, I could always tell the headmaster that you've been hiding out in the boys' dorms."
I inhaled and held in the breath, not willing to release it. This little-
"Why don't we go show off?" Shima stood up, and I followed, glaring at him the whole time. "You look a bit cold, take this-" he pulled his blazer off and rested it over my shoulders. "Much better."
"Much worse," I mumbled.
"Bon, Koneko!" Shima reached his two friends, outspreading his arms in a dramatic flounce of a greeting.
"Hey, Shima," Bon grumbled, while Koneko silently stood, smiling and nodding to the pink-haired boy.
"This is Kin. She's the one who came into our dorm and-"
"They know," I blankly said.
"Yeah, we do," Bon's eyes filled with a hateful look, while Koneko, the shorter one, remained lifeless.
"Anyways," Shima's bright and cheerful attitude cut straight through the silence like a knife, "Kin and I were just about to go do something," he wrapped his arm over my shoulder, causing me to grit my teeth. "Together," he added. "Any suggestions?"
Both the tall boy and the short one said nothing.
"Very helpful, you both are," Shima frowned. "Hey, I'll just go ask Rin if you don't care."
My eyes widened. Was he bringing another person into this? It was already bad enough having two boys think that I was with Shima, but adding one more?
Ridiculous baka.
