"Kin, listen to me," my sister commanded. Hearing the familiar nasal tone of her voice from the background, I slipped my headphones off.
Just as expected, there stood Kou, little miss perfect. Her pink dress billowing slightly in the wind, while her hair had loosely flown to the side. She crossed her arms at the sight of me, and let out a scoff.
In return to her actions, I gave her a smirk and plopped down into the nearest garden bench, one which was uninhabited.
"Yeah?" I questioned with an eyebrow lift.
"Would you please just focus on-" she stopped, realizing that I was still entranced in my music, "and take your headphones off!"
I reluctantly obeyed, and rolled my eyes at her behavior. "What?"
"Listen, you need a uniform, your schedule, and information about your dorm. I'm willing to do it for you, just because you have no idea where the main office is," she paused, and quickly added, "are you ok if I leave you here alone?"
As if I was a four-year-old who had to be watched during every second of the day. I nodded in response, motioning for her to leave me alone. Kou let out another exasperated sigh, and swiveled on her heel.
When she left my sights, I let out a noise of relief, and laid down on the bench. My headphones were brought back to meet my ears, and I closed my eyes as the music began playing.
Halfway through the song, my thoughts were interrupted by a slight tickling of hair on my forehead. I swatted away the strands, only to connect my hand with something else. My eyes snapped open, meeting the image of a teenage boy with bright pink hair.
I let out a yell, and fell off the bench in surprise. Angrily pulling myself to my feet, I pulled the headphones from my ears so they could rest around my neck.
"What the hell-" I began, but the boy only jumped up and pressed a finger to his lips, signalling for silence.
He was a few inches taller than me, but not by many. His form was thin and lanky, yet he had some visible muscles. It wasn't as if he was spaghetti-thin, or overly muscular; he was only in the middle. His hair was somewhat raggedy, and indeed, a bright pink colour. The boy had eyes similar to that of melted chocolate, a deep brown colour that I found myself staring into.
Noticing that I had been gawking over him, he smirked, causing me to look to my feet in embarrassment. He must've been a student here, as I realized he was wearing the males' uniform.
The boy took a quick look around him, and released a smirk once more when his eyes lingered on me.
"Sorry, didn't mean to bother you," he began, and I crossed my arms in annoyance. He had practically been on top of me, and now he was apologizing? "But I seemed to have misplaced your phone number..."
I let my eyebrow snake up. He must've mistaken me for someone else, as I had absolutely no knowledge of this boy. I would've remembered pink hair.
"Oh wait, that's right," he grinned. "I didn't have it in the first place. Mind doing me a favor and giving it up?"
I rolled my eyes. I should've expected a pick-up line, yet not within my first five minutes at this academy, and especially not from someone like this.
"Shima," he said blankly, after I did nothing in return to his question. "Renzou Shima, but I go by Shima," he held out his hand for me to shake.
I reluctantly took it, not willing to stop my glare at him. "Kin. Just Kin."
"What, no last name?" Somehow, this 'Renzou Shima' had found his way into my personal space by inching nearer every few seconds. At this point, we were almost touching.
"No, I have one," I backed up a few steps, "I'd just prefer not to tell you."
He smiled cockily, as if my refusal to him was amusing. "Oh, Kin-chan," I flinched at the pet name, "how difficult of you."
"Indeed," I gritted my teeth.
"So how about that number? Maybe you'd prefer to tell me if we aren't face-to-face?" His pressure grew stronger and stronger with every attempt.
"Probably not a good idea," I took another step back, seeing that he had gained more distance closer to me.
"Oh really?" His playful voice was driving me mad.
"Really," I confirmed.
The silence between us was deafening. Shima stood with a stupid flirty smirk plastered to his face, pausing from his forwards-inching to attempt a seductive position, while I simply stood still, glaring at him.
"Kin!" My sister, Kou, finally came to the rescue. "Turns out, they mailed everything to us, and your uniform is in your dorm-" she aimlessly rambled, completely unaware of the currently awkward situation that had just taken place. "Oh you'll love the outfits, they have these cute little bows, and there are skirts to go along with them!"
I rolled my eyes, feeling them land on Shima. He still grinned to me, pleased with himself.
"You're not a lady-killer, so don't flatter yourself," I pushed past him, leaving Kou alone to go off about pink with him.
Honestly, I had no idea where the mailed letter was, or where my dorm would be. I sighed, deciding that I would wander until I found something that resembled a female housing building.

Yay, Shima has been introduced! Please tell me if you're liking it so far, I love feedback :)
Also, I'm thinking about making a one-shot story collection (WITH AVAILABLE REQUESTS), so... uh... yeah. I've never made a one-shot, so that should be interesting. I'm assuming it'll be easier, just because I won't have to commit to a full-length story.
