Re-cap
A shove behind me brought me back to reality, I sat down at the desk in the back and avoided eye contact with everyone. Someone cleared their voice behind me and I turned to meet eyes with a green eyed gothic girl, she was the complete opposite of Holly.
“Thats my seat,” she said.
“Oh umm i’m sorry,” I said then got up to move.
“Its okay, can I sit next to you though?” she asked quickly.
I smiled then nodded, she sat down and I turned to look at Holly. I watched as she glared at the goth girl next to me, then looked at me and looked away quickly. Hmm two can play at that game.

Emmalie’s POV
The bell rand, signaling the end of class. I stood up and stretched, my shirt rose up a little showing my small tattoo on my hip. My eyes went to Holly’s and I saw her’s held curiosity, I quickly pulled it down and looked away. Lexi, the goth girl that sat next to me, tapped my shoulder.
“Yes?” I asked turning around to face her.
“Umm.. well we have the next class together and I was wondering if you wanted to walk there with me,” she offered shyly.
I smiled, “of course.” We walked out of the class together, Holly and her friends behind us. Lexi tensed as they passed us and laughed then closed her eyes as the last one pushed her into the lockers. They walked off laughing and I saw Holly laughing along with them but her smile didn’t reach her eyes, I helped Lexi up.
“Oh my god are you okay?” I asked quickly.
“Im fine,” she said then ran off as Holly came up behind me.
“You should stay away from her if you want to have any friends,” she warned in a quiet voice.
I turned to face her, an angry expression on my face, “You don't control me! Why did you guys do that?”
“I didn't do it, that was Chelsea and its because she is a freak. Your going to be labeled one too if you keep hanging out with her,” she exclaimed.
“Id rather be a freak and myself then be a fake blonde bitch,” I snapped then turned to go after Lexi, Holly grabbed my arm stopping me.
I pulled my arm from her grasp and glared at her. “You don't know how hard this school can be if your not one of us. Don’t hang out with her,” she stated then turned and walked away.
I watched her go then turned around and searched for Lexi. The empty hallways made my footsteps echo and I thought about turning back when I heard crying from the janitors closet. My hand reached for the knob and I slowly turned it, a gasp escaped my lips as I saw Lexi on the ground, her knees up to her chest crying. I dropped down to my knees beside her and touched her shoulder softly, and cringed when she tensed and pulled away.
“Lexi, its okay. Its Emmalie, I'm not going to hurt you,” I cooed.
She looked up at me and I suppressed a gasp to when I saw all of her make up smeared, and tear tracks running down her cheek. “Why are you helping me?
“Because I know what it feels like to be in your position, its not good and I wish that someone would have helped me,” I confessed. “Now come on, i’m taking you to the beach.”
