Re-cap: “I was talking to someone,” I replied then winked at the girl and watched as she smirked. Lexi looked between us and shook her head, knowingly.

“We should get back now, its already lunch time,” she said.

“Okay, lets go back to that hell hole,” I said, my smile fading. I didn’t to go back, but it would give me a chance to see Holly again. I smiled at that thought then remembered our last encounter and grimaced, ugh i didn’t want to go now.

Emmalie’s POV

Pulling up at my house I sighed and grabbed my bag, when Lexi and I got back to school it wasn’t that bad. Holly completely ignored me but nobody bothered me, if someone said something to me while Holly was around she would glare at them and they would stop. I guess she is looking out for you. Whatever, I don’t need her or her stupid split personalities. Slamming my door I walked into my house and sighed, of course my parents weren’t home. I held back all of the angry thoughts that I had and walked up stairs to my room, placing my bag on the floor I fell back on my bed.

Luckily I was able to make friends today, three to be exact. Lexi of course, then afterwards I met Sam. She was really pretty with long, thick brown hair and blue-green eyes. No one messes with her but she is popular, not as popular as Holly but she does know a lot of people. Through her I met Marni, she is so adorable with a petite face and beautiful blue eyes with blonde hair. Sam always stuck up for Marni and never let anyone mess with her, so she took me under her wing. If someone were to mess with me and Holly weren’t there I know that she would stand up for me. In gym class I bumped into Miranda a stubborn brunette with dark brown eyes, at first we argued but I eventually gave in. Then during the class we had to partner up and became friends after a few awkward moments, in truth she was actually really nice.

The door downstairs opened and my fathers loud voice carried up the stairs, “I’m home Emmalie!”

“Obviously,” I snapped. Of course he just ignored me and continued to walk downstairs, most likely in the kitchen. With a sigh I got up and made my way downstairs and there he was standing in the kitchen eating a sandwich.

“How was your day?” he asked after swallowing his bite. “Did you make friends?”

“It was good and yeah I made friends.”

“Thats good, see I told you moving here wouldn’t be so bad. Its your first day and you have already made friends,” he said, smiling.

“Dad I still miss home and my old friends,” I said stubbornly.

“Em I know that you miss them but you can always go and visit them, dont you have a phone? Just text or call them,” he replied like, it was so simple.

“Whatever,” I said walking into the living room. He didn’t understand that after time you lose contact, no matter how hard you try, you just don’t have the time. I angrily flipped through the channels, trying to take my mind off of everything. Settling on Chopped, which is one of my favorite shows, I remembered that girl from the ice cream place. I never got her name. Pulling out my phone I texted her using the number she gave me:

Me: Still want me to make your wish come true??

I waited for a few minutes, watching the people on the screen cook these yummy meals, which made me hungry, then finally got a reply.
