I tapped my pen on my paper, trying to finish it up.

"Mr. Hood?"Mrs. Collins called out. I looked up at her, and nodded, in response.

"Just checking if you were working."She smiled at me. Then I heard a knock on the door.

"Excuse me... May Michael Clifford and Calum Hood be excused for the day?"I heard a familiar voice call out. She nodded, motioning me and Michael out of the room.

"Have a nice day boys."She grinned at us.

"Okay. Michael you know why. Calum, I pick Michael up everyday pretty early, that's why he leaves early."Karen explained.

"Oh. Now that it's after school should we get erm going?"I asked. She nodded, pushing Michael away.

"ILL BE BACCK."He yelled running out to his ride.

"Yeah whatever."She laughed, taking my hand and walking out of the school.

"Awwww! One of the saints is doing a sin by holding a fags hand."Luke cooed.

"Shut your mouth Hemmings. And don't you start Irwin."She glared. Their eyes widen in shock, and I laughed.

"How?"I asked, as she put her skateboard on the ground.

"Let's just say I use to go here eh?"She giggled, stepping onto her skateboard.

"You coming or walking?"She looked at me. I stepped on behind her, laughing.

"Small ride, with riding coool."He laughed.

"K-Karen!"I heard another girl pant out.

"Kathie! Calum that's my best friend Kathie."Karen smiled.

"Who's this?"Kathie asked. Kathie looked like Karen but taller and she wore glasses.

"Oh this is Michael's best friend Calum. By the way Michael went to his place. You can stay over tonight. Mom's not gonna be home till late."Karen explained. I thrusted my hand towards Kathie and she shook it happily.

"It was wonderful meeting you Calum! Hope you crash into you again soon!"She laughed running off.

"Now we go?"Karen looked up.

I nodded, placing my hands on her waist. She smiled, and started skating to Starbucks.

"Ooooooo coffee."I smiled.

"Ew coffee. I love the hot chocolate."She grinned, stopping the board.

"Starrrrrbucks."She dragged the r out.

"Oooooo."I stared in awe. I haven't been here for a while.

She pried my hands off her waist and put her skateboard in her backpack.

"Isn't your homework gonna get dirty?"I asked stepping into the cafè.

"Nah. It never gets dirty."She turned to me.

"You want me to order?"She asked. I shook my head.

"I'm good. You can just get me water or something."I smiled sitting at a table.

She nodded getting in line. I scrolled through my phone for any new messages. Some from my mom, which were just good mornings and good nights. Some from Michael I haven't read yet and that's about it.

Karen came back handing me a water bottle and sipped her apple juice. I smiled, mumbling a thank you.

"Oh! My number! I almost forgot!"She exclaimed, handing me a piece of paper.
