Once upon a time, not too long ago I knew a girl. She was young, barely 17 years old. And she was beautiful beyond belief; she had huge, crystal blue eyes that, despite their cold color, where filled with warmth that could melt even the coldest heart. Her eyes sparkled with the innocence only a child possessed. Her long, wavy hair fell perfectly without her trying. And no matter what she wore, her beauty glowed through. She was the kind of girl you turned to get a second glance at. And a third. Even a fourth.

Her life was perfect too. She came from a loving family that cared only about her happiness and well-being. She was an only child with her own room and a closet full of expensive designer clothes. she even had her own car. She was a straight A student and was loved by pretty much everyone she met. She held the position of not only cheer captain but vollyball captain as well. Both in varsity.

And then there was her boyfriend. The perfect guy, a guy who appreciated her innocence and let her stay that way, never pressuring her, always the gentleman. Indeed her life was the splitting image of a perfect life.

And then it wasn't. One night was all it took for her eyes to lose that warmth, her innocent sparkle to fade away. All it took was one moment when her life wasn't all that perfect for her to lose who she was. One second was all it took for the sweet, caring and naive Livanny Connor to die.
