“Liv? I asked which one looks better?” I heard someone say to me.

I looked up from the interesting gossip column I was reading to find my best friend Andrea looking at me with her sharp black eyes while holding out a red dress she had previously tried on while wearing a lacey blue one.

I exhaled and squinted a little, looking at the blue dress that hugged all of Andy´s killer curves, and then comparing it to the previous red dress that made her look sexy yet sophisticated due to its high neck and cut out back.

“Well, I would go for the red one, remember it’s a cocktail party with your parents, not a night at the club with your boyfriend.” I said with a laugh.

Andy laughed along.

“You know what, screw it, I’ll get both.” She exclaimed in frustration at not knowing which she liked more.

I laughed and stuffed my magazine in my purse, getting ready to leave.

“Wait? Aren’t you going to buy something? “She asked “Because you are going, right?”

I sighed, I honestly had no intention of going to the cocktail party where all there was for entertainment where adults explaining their life accomplishments and how we could achieve their successfulness. However, I know if my parents were forcing me to go, I would have begged Andrea to come along so the least I could do was accompany her in her suffering.

“Yeah, but none of the dresses here appealed to me. How about we go to that one other store?” I said. “Maybe I’ll find something to my liking there?”

“Okay but first let’s stop by the food court? I’m starved” Andy exclaimed while dramatically looking at her stomach and rubbing it.

I laughed and nodded as we she paid for both dresses.

“So? Had Michael asked you to the Winter Formal?” Andy asked.

I scrunched my nose and turned to look at her.

“No, and I’m surprised, the Winter Formal is less the a month away!” I responded. “Why do you even ask,  you know if he had I would have called you like the minute after.”

“I know, but I had to ask.” Andy said.

By this time we were standing in the line to buy frozen yogurt. While I debated what to get this time, Andy fumbled around her bag searching, like always, for her cell phone. Once she found it she went on to respond to a message with a little giggle. Being the amazing best friend I am, I snatched the phone from her hand and quickly looked at her new messages.

“Hey! What the hell Liv!” Andy said with fake anger while hiding a laugh.

“Oh shush, you’ve done worse.” I retorted while reading.

“Would you like to go see a movie with me? Sent by Jason Locke.” I said mischievously. “Wow Andy, scored yourself the captain of the basketball team. Not bad at all”

“Oh shut up, nothing is final yet.” Andy said shyly, but then with and evil grin said. “But it’s getting there.”

I laughed and turned to order my yogurt then walked over to a free table to wait for Andy to pay for hers.

Jason Locke and Andrea Miller. They would make a cute couple. Jason was one of the sexiest guys I had ever seen that wasn’t on TV or was a model. He had raven black hair and warm brown eyes and sure his face was cute and all but it was his killer body that made him irresistible. He had a perfectly cut body that once literally made a girl faint. Okay maybe that’s exaggerating, she just swooned but still, you catch my drift. And then there was Andrea that made guys go gaga over her. Beautiful and a killer body that made even me jealous and I wasn’t flat at all with my C-cup and nicely formed bootie thanks to volleyball and cheer.

Yup, I would make sure this hook-up would happen.

Because I was in la-la land, thinking up schemes to get my best friend and one of the sexiest guys in school together, I didn’t realize the person that next to me until he grabbed my waist for a hug.

I must have jumped about six feet.

“Hey, calm down babe, it’s just me” my boyfriend exclaimed with laughter “Wassup Didi”

Andy flipped him off at the mention of her hated nickname but nodded a greeting anyways. Only Michael got away with calling her that, anyone else would have died that instant with one cold look of hate.

“Be nice Mike, you know she can kill you right?” I joked while hugging his neck and pulling him in playfully.

Mike shrugged and took a spoonful of my yogurt. I made a face and slapped him, telling him to get his own but only received his famous sexy grin in return.

I was the envy of any girl who wanted to date Michael Morton. He was so perfect. Sweet, caring, sexy as hell and the most respectful guy I had ever met. He seriously refused to kiss me until we where official.

I looked into his green eyes and thought stupid thought like how adorable our babies would be. God I really loved this guy. 3 and a half years together and not one fight.

“So what are you girls going to do after eating?” Mike asked while stealing another spoonful of my yogurt.

“Liv needs a dress for my parents cocktail, so I guess where going dress shopping again” Andy answered while answering her messaged.

“God, how many hours have you girls been doing this torture called shopping? Like six?” Mike groaned. “I need my Liv time too Didi.”

“Oh you can have your Liv time “ Mike’s grin broaden. “ while we’re dress shopping”

And then the grin disappeared. He flipped Andy the bird and turned to me.

“How bout it gorgeous? We stop your torture and lets go to my place?” Mike said with a wink.

“As much as I love kicking your butt at Black Ops….. I think shopping sounds better.”  I said evilly.

Mike snorted and kissed my cheek.

“Fine then, but get your facts straight, one win does not mean you kick my butt ALL the time” Mike said while walking away, probably to the arcade to be a guy. “Call me when you’re ready to leave, I’ll take you guys home”

I nodded and smiled. Yup I had the best boyfriend alive.
