Saturday night
Taylor stares at her bed, which holds the contents of her entire closet. She owns way too many clothes, but still has nothing to wear. Typically, she doesn't care all that much about her appearance, especially in school, but this night is special. When Karlie asked her to attend the party, Taylor was confused--is she just tagging along with Karlie as a friend, or are they going together?
Shaking those thoughts out of her mind, Taylor looks at her clock and realizes she only has 20 minutes before she has to pick up Karlie.
"Fuck," she mumbles, standing at the foot of her bed with her hands on her waist. "I guess anything will do at this point."
The first article of clothing she grabs is a black long sleeve shirt. Black is a classic color, very timeless and slimming: a good choice. She picks out a grey and black plaid skirt to match and a pair of sheer black tights to go underneath.
After getting dressed, Taylor looks at herself in her full length mirror. Well, at least the outfit matches. How fancy is this party?
Ping! Taylor's text tone goes off.

Taylor, I'm sick...I can't go to the party. Sorry.Taylor's face falls while reading the text. No, not today. This can't be happening today. She lets out a sigh before typing a response. As she's typing, she gets another text.

Damn you Karlie Kloss. You got me. I advise you to watch your back... :) Also, how casual or fancy is this party? Can't decide on an outfit..From: Sunshine Kloss
Anything you wear will be absolutely perfectTaylor laughs, a strange feeling tingling in her stomach. She responds that she's on her way.
"Have fun, honey! You look gorgeous!" Andrea waves to her daughter on her way out the door. Taylor slips on a pair of mustard yellow flats, just to spice up her outfit.
Scott stops Taylor at the door. "Will there be drugs or alcohol at this party, Taylor?"
"What? Dad, no!"
"I suppose I can't control you anymore, since you are 18 now, but please be safe Taylor." Scott looks directly into his daughters eyes.
"Safe?" Taylor's eyes almost pop out of her head, "Ew, dad, no! I won't be doing any of that. I promise."
"I don't want grandchildren right now!" Andrea yells from the other room.
Taylor pulls her dad into a hug, ignoring her mother's comment. "Dad, you can trust me."
Scott kisses his daughter's head. "I know. Have fun, be back by midnight."

"Yeah, Taylor the quarterback will be there. Yes, I'll be safe. Love you!" Karlie yells to her mom as she flies out the door and runs down her driveway.
Taylor is standing on the passenger side of the car, holding the door open for the younger girl. Her first impression of Karlie in the glow of the moon is breathtaking. No, that's an understatement. The younger girl is wearing a gray/green button up shirt with a black leather jacket over it and a simple pair of light wash boyfriend style jeans, rolled at the cuff.
"You look amazing," Taylor comments. She looks completely effortless.
"Why thank you," Karlie curtsies before climbing into the car. "You look perfect, as I said before."
