"happy birthday!" Bryce screamed when he not so quietly barged into the room. Cleo put her middle finger up to him and hid her head under the blankets.

"I got up a 8 in the morning to make you food, I let you sleep until 11. Get your ungrateful ass up and eat." Bryce huffed.

Cleo sat up in the big bed and smiled a little at Bryce "thank you Bryce." He smiled and walked to the bed, engulfing her into a big hug.

Cleo hugged the lanky boy back and said thank you one more time. Bryce kissed the top of her head "come down when you're ready." she nodded and Bryce left the room.

Cleo sat in her bed. 18. That's the only thing she could think about. She was finally 18. She could finally make her own decisions, she was considered an adult now-that frightened her. She was terrified of the thought. During all four years of high school she was forced to make the decision of what she wanted to be. She still doesn't know.

Her dad had never pushed her nor Gabe into making the decision so early, he did push them to get good grades so they could get into good colleges if that's what they wanted.

Cleo groaned, she wasn't going to let these thoughts ruin her day, she got of the bed, black joggers and a white t shirt clung to her body.

She ran her hands through her short hair and walked down the stairs, the immediate smell of pancakes filled her nose.

She smiled and walked into the kitchen, her brother and dad along with Bryce were sitting at the small table. This only made her smile grow.

"Dad! Gabe!" she cheered, running over and hugging them tightly. Her family hugged her back just as tight and they exchanged greetings.

Cleo pulled away and sat in the empty chair next to Bryce, that was across from her brother.

"How does it feel to be 18 guys?" her dad asks, while grabbing some pancakes off the warm plate.

Both Cleo and Gabe shrugged. It wasn't really an exciting thing to Gabe, just one more year closer to death.

"When did you guys get here?" Cleo asked, her smile never leaving her face.

"This morning, around 6." Gabe mumbled, mouth full of food. She nodded and ate the warm pancakes.

The four of them finished eating and Bryce jumped up from his chair, placing his plate in the sink "I'll be right back, I have to pee." he mumbled, blushing when he caught Gabe looking at him.

Bryce ran to the small bathroom and shut the door, leaving the three of them. "I'm, uh gonna go grab something." Gabes cheeks reddened as he walked out of the dining room.

Cleo stood up and walked to the sink and started washing the dishes "how much you wanna bet their kissing." her dad chuckled when he stood next to her.

"What?" She asked confused.

"Gabe and Bryce have a thing for each other." her dad said, smiling. "maybe Bryce will keep him happy."

Cleo's eyes widened "all I know is that Bryce is literally in love with Gabe. I didn't know Gabe liked Bryce." she confessed.

"I brought Bryce up the other day and your brothers face got bright red." her dad chuckled, drying off the last of the dishes Cleo had cleaned.

She laughed "awe."

It was 11 o'clock pm. Cleo, Gabe and Bryce had just got back from the pier. The place was lit with lights and Cleo thought it was the most breathtaking thing she's ever saw.

Through out the night, her and the two boys rode the rides, ate the shitty food and played the rigged games. Bryce was fixed on winning Gabe the huge stuffed elephant.

half an hour and $10 dollars later, he finally won it. The look on Gabe's face when Bryce gave it him was priceless.

He was a mixture was surprised, happy and overly emotional.

Cleo met a girl that was third wheeling with her friend and her boyfriend.

The two girls hit it off and spent most of the night together. Over all, Cleo's birthday was good.

When the three of them got home, Bryce grabbed Gabe by his waist and pulled him into him, giving him a peck on the lips, making Gabe blush and Bryce smirk widely.

Cleo smiled at the scene then frowned. Her boyfriend, nor Jc have even sent her a simple hi let alone a happy birthday.

They probably forgot.

She sighed and said a quick goodnight to her family and trudged up the stairs.

Her phone chimed, indicating someone sent her a message. She hoped it was Jc, she would still be happy of it was Jacob, but she missed talking to Jc.

She closed the door and sat on the edge of her bed, opening the messaging app.
