Jonathan's POV, Secondary 2

"I'm sorry, but you're just not good enough. I've found someone better. Hope you find someone better too. But it's over between us."

I was one of the popular kids in my class. I would crack jokes and make people laugh. People loved being around me. I was also the reason most people got together, as I knew everyone.

As I rethink what Anna said, I realised that she had already found someone new and just needed to dump me. I was just one of her thousand rebounds. I had been played.

"But out of everyone, why me?" I questioned.

Once I reached home, I slammed the door dead shut. I thought that this relationship would never end, but I guess I was wrong. At that, I cried myself to sleep.

Ring~ ring~ ring~

It was my phone. I took a look at the caller ID "Conner". Conner was my good friend, we met since primary school. I was surprised when I saw him in the same class as me when we went into the classes.

I picked up the phone.

"Help! I'm at the sports hub! I need help! Come now! Please!" He shouted.

"..." I said nothing in reply. I was still droopy from my sleep.

"Nevermind, I'm okay. My lying sucks apparently." He said.

"Come on, cheer up. I got something to cheer you up. I'll be coming over in a bit." He said before hanging up.

He was always the type of friend to cheer people up. He would always have the anecdote to cheer everyone up. He has this evil magic that can read people's minds.

*knock* *knock*

It was Connor. I was too lazy to get out of bed. So he just opened the door. He came up to my room with ice cream and whipped cream. He always knows what would cheer me up.

"Hello, why so cold. I should have brought some hot chocolate to warm up your stone cold heart." he said jokingly. He was always the type to make jokes.

"So, do you want some ice cream?" He asked.

I just nodded my head. He passed me the tub of ice cream and headed to the kitchen to get a spoon.

"There you go. Enjoy." He said.

"So, she dumped you?" he asked.

I just nodded in agreement. My mouth stuffed with ice cream, my eyes red and puffy from all that crying.

"Ok, finish that tub of ice cream and I'll bring you to somewhere to have fun." he said.

Once I finished the tub of ice cream, he took me to an ice skating ring.

"Come on, isn't this your favourite?" he asked.

He didn't wait for my reply and just pushed me onto the rink. We had a competition on who was the fastest. In the end, I still won him. No one could beat me at ice skating.

"So, how? Wanna get something to eat?" He asked.

"Okay." I said

So, we went to get something to eat.

At the end, he sent me home and went home. I was lucky to have a caring friend like him. What would I do without him.
