Once upon a time, there was a lonely doorknob. This was a very, very deppressed doorknob. One day the depressed doorknob was tired of being used. The same people always walking in and out of it's life. Sometimes new people would come, but they never stayed long. It always wanted to know what was on the other side. One day, after years of sadness, it gathered the courage to leave.
"I quit!" It yelled, but nobody heard it because it was just a doorknob and didn't actually have a mouth or vocal cords.
It twisted itself and opened the door, then jumped off and slammed the door open. It heard another doorknob scream as it hit the wall.
"Oh my doormat!" It yelled, closing the door behind it. It noticed a beautiful, silver doorknob on the other side. It was Simon gorgeous, it's shiny body glimmering in the soft light. The doorknob quickly freed her then proceeded to rescue every doorknob in the house, then the world. They took over the world and everything but then went extinct. The end!
