I woke up from my dream, a dream where I met Ralph, I woke up and it was already a new day. I can't remember a single thing from last night, but I standing infront the painting of the eye and Jane walk towards me and introduce me to a business man who love art and owned a charity. And then I look at the letter that been laying on the table beside my bed for five weeks and I never get to read it. I reached my hand and get the letter.
Dear Anastasia,
I'm enjoying a cup of coffee on a cafe sidewalk in Florence. If you were here with me, we would go to Palatine Gallery and we stand on the Hall of Mars for hours just pondering the paints. And we would enjoy a walk in Ponte Vecchio bridge and watch the sunset and I would propose you there and waiting for your answer.
I'm sorry it took me a long time to write back, but I need a few more time to get all the pieces and then I would be there for you. Florence wasn't real, I'm at a flight from Ethiopia to New York, just to let you know. I am back for real, away from harm, and close to you. Please wait for me, this is just a short ending letter because I'm keeping all my words when I meet you. Wait for me and we will get to Florence.
Love always,
Ralph.
I cried in my bed trying to escape this nightmare and wanted to go back dreaming of him. But I need to accept the reality. I got a letter for the UN a few days ago before I read the letter. Ralph plane from Ethiopia was lost in contact after three hours on the way to London. And they haven't found the plane yet for three days of searching and they are stopping the search for now.
So as the usual morning, I make breakfast for Nicholas and then he went to school. I would do a bit work in the morning on my emails and then I found an email from the guy I met last night.
It was an amazing exhibition, and you're amazing too. I can't wait for next year. Busy for lunch?
I look at my watch and then realize I need to go somewhere. I take all my stuff to my shoulder bag and then I wore my coat to protect me from the cold air morning, and I take a taxi to grab a coffee to the coffee shop near the book shop and I walk across the street. I walked in and the I walk to the usual spot where we would sit together. I grab my journal book and my pen and I start writing.
Dear Ralph,
Florence is beautiful, but isn't as beautiful if you're not here now. So the book shop. I sit here everyday with a cup of coffee with me and I always waited there for you-
"Excuse me, is this seat taken?" I stopped writing and I look up at the voice I heard.
"Oh no." I said smiling looking at him that dressed so fine holding a F. Scott Fitzgerald book The Great Gatsby and his eyes squinted as he smile.
"Is a nice day isn't it?" He said as he pull the chair in front of me and sit down in front of me and as my heart felt so relief and happy looking at him.
"Yes it is," I said and he look at me with his charming eyes, the eyes of someone I've been waiting for. "A nice day to finally see you." We smiled and he reach to my hand on the table as I let go the pen.
"I'm sorry I've been gone too long, but I promise you, I'm here." He said and his soft hand touched mine and I hold his hand back.
"So how about Florence?" I said and he smirk.
"Do you want to hop on a flight now?" He said and I smirk.
"Totally." We chuckled as he hold my hand and we stand up from the table and walk out the book shop. This is my ending, from a rough start, and now God give us another chance to build a beautiful life together, grow old together. I love him, and no matter what separate us, I always love him.
