Epilogue

~20 MONTHS LATER~

The cherry blossoms fell down like snow onto the ground as two men walked down a path...gazing upon the blooming cherry trees in wonderment and awe at the beauty around them. Both men were holding hands as they traversed a small trail that led through the cherry tree orchard...delighted to be able to witness this yearly spectacle in Kyoto, Japan together. The taller man who had dark hair, while admiring the colorful Sakura blossoms drifting down was peering more at his blond haired companion who had the biggest smile on his face as they walked side by side.

"Isn't it beautiful baby? Just like I told you." the older dark male looked down at his lover enjoying himself.

"Oh yes, Daddy. It's more lovely than the pictures you showed me long ago." his sweet voice was breathless sounding from all the excitement of finally being here in Japan with the man he loves. It had been over a year and a half since that day in The Bay Diner when Keiran and Jamie met...since then a lot had happened to them in such a short time. The first thing to happen was how quickly their relationship shot off...to everyone around, it appeared as if they jumped into it recklessly fast, but neither cared for they knew from first glance they were everything they had yearned for in a partner, By Christmas time Keiran's loft became Jamie's home where he was allowed to remodel the adjoining apartment to his liking...later he joined both apartments into one living space. After remodeling it into one large spectacular home for them they had Chloe come in to design the interior where it reflected both men so perfectly, for her Interior Design class. Both men were practically inseparable...neither desiring to be apart from the other for fear of something ending this so suddenly. It was late Spring when Jaime's world took a new turn he had not expected...especially this soon.

It was one of those picturesque Spring evenings where the air was balmy with a gentle breeze that cooled the air around and not a single cloud in the night sky to obscure the vast stars above. Earlier that afternoon Keiran had picked Jamie up on the back of his motorcycle from classes and took him on a ride through the countryside  before stopping at a lovely meadow that did not conceal the sky above as twilight began to settle around. The sight before Jaime took his breath away for there close by upon the grassy ground sat a thick blanket with a picnic basket and a bucket with champagne on ice next to it.

"Daddy. This is lovely. How did you get all this set up so fast? This must have taken hours to set up."he gazed around at the set-up that his lover had done while he was in class.

"Well... I had Auntin (aunt) Evie prepare this up for me while I went to pick you up shortly ago. Right before I saw you, I sent her a text that we will be on our way in a few moments so she could finish and leave before we arrived." he saw the slight confusion on his baby's face and smiled. " I wanted to treat you to a romantic dinner out under the star filled sky." a soft smile of understanding came to Jaime's eyes as he smiled sweetly at this wonderful man. With a tender smile Keiran helped an astonished  Jaime off the bike and settled down onto the blanket where he began to unpack the basket with a grande display...presenting each dish with such fanfare that it made Jaime giggle.
