I opened my eyes and the first thing I saw was my suitcase and a huge box filled with all my stuff, then I remembered everything. First I thought that it was just a dream that a lady came to Amy's house and told me that someone wanted to adopt me, but it wasn't it was real and today I was leaving. Leaving my old life and starting a new one, where nobody knew anything about me, I could start over, start a new life.

Last night after she left I went to Amy's room and she was crying I'm guessing her mom already told her everything.

"It's gonna be alright Amy." I walked up to her and hugged her.

"I don't want you too leave... and Oklahoma is so far away." She whispered.

"I know, but we will Skype and text each other everyday. It's going to be okay Amy." It felt really wired comforting her because for the past two weeks that's all she been doing for me.

Amy drove me to my house and we started packing everything. my clothes, books, CDs. Mostly the important things. After we were done we went to get frozen yogurt at our favourite ice cream shop one last time.

After I woke up I changed and finished getting ready I grabbed my suitcase, the box, and my backpack and carried them upstairs, when I got upstairs Amy's mom had a huge breakfast made. Bacon, egged, toast waffles, and fruit. I never seen anything like it.

"Wow, are you going to make me a breakfast like this when I move out?" Amy asked.

"Nope, cause you are not leaving your going to stay here forever! Muhahaha." Shouted Amy's mom.

"Mom how many times do I have to tell you... YOU ARE NOT FUNNY!!" Amy yelled.

"Really? Then I guess no bacon for you!" Amy's mom grabbed the plate of bacon and ran.

"Mom come back here!" Yelled Amy.

Then she ran after her. I heard the bathroom door slam, and Amy and her mom laughing. I wish I had a mom like Amy's mom she always treats her so nice. I know she would never leave her, they have an amazing relationship. Something I wish I had when my mom was still around. My mom left my father when I was like 5 I think, I don't know why. I just remember waking up and she was gone. My father was a wreck ever since. Which probably started his drinking. Amy came back to the kitchen with the plate of bacon, she was eating one.

"Amy -1 mother -0." Yelled Amy as she put another piece of bacon in her mouth.

"For now." Said Amy's mom as she walked back to the kitchen out of breath. "I'll get you later."

"I'll be waiting!" Laughed Amy.

"Hey! Share some bacon with Spencer geez!"

"Oh right, here spence!" She handed me the plate and I grabbed a couple pieces.

"Thanks." I said.

I have to admit I was nervous meeting Alice, what If she doesn't like me, what If I'm not what she expects. What if she doesn't want me and I have to go to a foster home. What if she wanted a boy like in Anne of Green Gables but I show up. I tired to get those thoughts out of my mind, while I ate and waited for Jean to come and pick me up. Then there was a knock on the door. Amy's mom opened it, it was Jean. She walked in and smiled again I could see all her pearly white teeth. She was was wearing a black pants, a light blue blouse, and black high heels.

"Hello Mrs. Hunter, ready to go Spencer?" She asked.

"Umm.. Ya." I grabbed my backpack and started putting on my shoes. Amy's mom and Jean started carrying my suitcase and box to Jeans car.

"I'm going to fricken miss you!" Amy screamed with tears rolling down her eyes.

"I'm going to miss you too." I said tears also started coming out of my eyes she was my best friend I didn't want to leave her, but I had no choice.

"Don't worry," I explained to her "I'll be back here before you know it."

"I know." she replied "I'm gonna miss you sooooo much." she hugged me again, and I hugged her back.

"Here," she said. We stopped and she put her hand inside her jacket pocket, she took something out and put it in my hand it was a necklace in a shape of a heart but it was broken in half the half that I had said F. I looked and she had one too she was already wearing it, her other half of the heart said BF "As long as we each have the other halves of the heart will be Best Friends Forever."

I smiled and put the necklace on and hugged her again.

"Goodbye." I whispered to her.

"A memory lasts forever, never will it die... true friends stay together and never say goodbye..." She whispered!

I went into the car and shut the door just as Jean started driving out of the drive way I looked and saw Amy running towards us with my skateboard.

"Wait, Stop!" I yelled. And Jean slammed on the breaks.

"Hey, you might need this kid." She laughed and handed it to me.

"Thanks!" I said.

"Don't forget about me!" Amy said.

"Forget about you... Never!" We both smiled.

"Ready?" Asked Jean.

I took a deep breath. "I'm ready!"

Jean put the car in drive and started leaving Amy's driveway. I looked out and saw Amy waving at me and running chasing the car like a crazy person. I started laughing, its things like that, that make me know that everything is going to be alright. That even though we will be miles apart we will always be best friends forever and nothing is going to change that. I waved back to her until we passed my house, until we turned the corner, until I couldn't see her running anymore and even then I still continued to wave because I know she would still be waving too.
