Nina's POV: Smoky Mountains
"You okay?Is Ray getting heavy?" Nik smirked.
"I'm fine" Stef replied bluntly.
"You sure about that?You know, we've been walking for quite some time now. If you need some water or a little sit down.." Nik said sarcastically.
"Nik..." I trailed off. He looked at me smiling an emotion in his eyes that I couldn't quite decipher. I looked at him sternly before he nodded his head.
"You know, I get that we're,uh...we're stuck together, but if we could maybe just skip the chitchat, it'd be great" Stefan sighed.
"So much brooding. You self-loathing is suffocating you, my friend" Nik tainted.
"Maybe it's 'cause we're tired of hunting werewolves. We've been at it all summer." I snapped, my anger close to the breaking point.
Nik looked at my surprised he looked hurt at the way I spoke but sighed and carried on talking.
"Thanks to our pal Ray, we found ourselves a pack. There."
As we entered the camp Stefan threw Ray to the floor.
"Ray! Oh, my god. What's going on? Who are you?" A brunette woman asked glaring at me and Stefan.
"The more important question is who am I. Please forgive the intrusion. My name is Klaus." Nik said as he joined me and Stefan further in the clearing.
" You're the hybrid" She muttered.
"You've heard of me. Fantastic" The hybrid smiled cheekily.

Third Person: Mystic Grill

Elena is talking with Tyler at a table. While Alaric watches from the bar.
"A lot of us like to keep to ourselves for the full moon, chain ourselves up. But there are some werewolves that like to gather in places where they don't have to do that, where they can enjoy it" Tyler informed Elena.
"What kind of places?" Elena asked in curiosity.
"Mountains, state parks, deserts, that kind of stuff" Tyler told her.
"Anywhere in Tennessee" she asked.
"Yeah here give me your phone. I'll try to pull up at map"
"Thanks for this" Elena said to Tyler gratefully.
"As Caroline likes to remind me. Stefan and Nina are in this mess because I bit Damon. I figure I owe you one. Have you talked to her today" He asked concerned about his vampire girlfriends wellbeing.
"No. Why?" Elena asked her curiosity getting the better of her.
" Just curious. Here." Tyler replied handing Elena her phone back.
"That's your best bet"
"Thanks Tyler, it means a lot" Elena smiled before walking to Ric at the bar.
"Did you get anything?"
"How do you feel about at little home through the smoky mountains?" She smirked.

Nina's POV: Smoky Mountains
Me, Nik and Stefan were sitting on a log. Nik getting closer and closer to me while everybody else stood still and listened to him talking.
"It's fascinating, actually... A werewolf who isn't beholden to the moon, a vampire who doesn't burn in the sun. A true hybrid" He announced proud of his species.
Just as he finished his speech about how wonderful he thinks he is, Ray woke up.
"Excellent timing, Ray. Very dramatic"
"What's happening to me?" Ray groaned.
"Stefan?" Nik hinted while moving closer to me.
"Are any of you human? Your friend here needs human blood to complete his transition to a vampire. If he doesn't get it, he will die" Stefan called out.
"Doesn't take much, just a sip. Anyone? A boyfriend, a girlfriend, along for the ride?" I smirk while looking around. Then I saw him a man around my age who looked a bit like Matt.
"You!" I exclaimed happily as I bit into his arm and threw him to Stefan restraining myself from draining him dry.
"If you don't drink it, Ray, I will. Problem is I don't know how to stop" Stefan smirked.
"It's the new order sweetheart. You join us or you die." I smiled sweetly.
"I'd rather die that become a Vampire" she growled at me.
"Wrong choice" Nik chirped from behind her as he quickly fed her his blood and snapped her neck.
"Okay, who's next?" He yelled out his hybrid face making my dead heart flutter uncontrollably.

"There good as new. Now you relax, okay, mate? We're gonna need you when the rest of them wake up"
"They're dead. They're all dead" Ray muttered.
"He's through transition. He should be feeling better soon". Nik smiled happily.
"So is this your master plan? Build an army of hybrid slaves?" Stefan snapped.
"No, not slaves. Soldiers, comrades" he announced.
"For what war, Nik?" I asked quietly.
His head snapped to look at me almost in surprise.
"You don't arm yourself after war as been declared, my love. You build your army so big that no one ever dares to pick a fight" He informed smiling genuinely at me.
I blushed under his gaze, why was I feeling this way??
