Blair's POV
"So I guess that means it's all over now. That we can all grow up and move on." the words echoed in my mother's living room.
"Yeah." Dan replied me. "Gossip Girl is dead."
I couldn't believe that my humdrum frenemy was the one behind all those nasty blasts about my friends and I over these past few years. How could I have ever fallen in love with such a heartless monster. Yes, Chuck traded me for a hotel which is certainly unforgivable but what made Chuck so different from Dan was that he never pretended to be someone he wasn't. And I've forgiven Chuck, everyone makes mistakes and he is the one I want to spend the rest of my life with and that I'm certain of.
Now that awful scumbag is with Serena. I don't want to ruin mine and Serena's relationship though I couldn't just stand there and do nothing while she gets her heart shattered into pieces for the millionth time. Serena is my best friend and I only have her best interests at heart. I needed to come up with something but for today I thought to myself, "Enjoy your day, Mrs Waldorf-Bass. You deserve it."
I was content with my life. Chuck is safe from his father, Bart's horrible wrath and threats and we are madly in love. Nothing could make me any happier than I am now — well maybe Lily and my mother's presence so we can proceed with the planning of the wedding reception. Just as the mere thought of the two ladies begun to form in my head, they come out of the elevator with a couple of people and a few things in hand.
"Charles my darling, I know how important it is to you and Blair that the reception tonight runs perfectly. So Eleanor and I have come up with the perfect guest list. Luck must be on our side today as we managed to get a hold of Jean-Georges to cater for tonight." Lily squealed.
"And I have a little gift for the lovebirds as well." Eleanor said. "Upstairs, on Blair's bed will lie two garments for tonight. I had them custom made in the atelier as soon as I found out about the wedding."
"Lily.. Eleanor.. I, I don't know what to say. Thank you." Chuck responded.
"Mother, Lily thank you so much. Tonight will be amazing because of you both." I said with a grateful smile.
