*A week after the wedding reception*
Serena's POV
I didn't know how to define my relationship with Dan. It was all very confusing. We hooked up the night of the wedding reception, and then Dan left 'us' hanging. He hasn't spoken to me since and I was getting slightly worried. Was he alright? He hasn't returned any of my texts or calls and without him being Gossip Girl, I couldn't track him on the 'Spotted' map.
I need to make sure that he's alright and I needed him to tell me what 'we' are. I decided to give him a call once more. It went straight to mail box.
"Hey Dan. It's me. Look, I haven't heard from you for about 2 weeks now and it's worrying me. I went to your house in the building last night and you were nowhere to be found. Since I don't know where else to look for you I assume you're in the loft. So, I'm taking the limo to Brooklyn. See you in a bit." I left him a voicemail as I took my coat to leave.
Dan's POV
"I've missed this. I've missed you." I said with a slight smile.
"Surprisingly, me too Humphrey." Vanessa leaned in to kiss me.
"Thank you for forgiving me. And for giving me a second chance." I said.
"Everyone deserves a second chance and you haven't been a complete jerk to me." she replied. "How are you gonna end things with Serena? You are going to, right?" she asked.
"Yes of course. The only thing that Serena and I share are old high school memories. There are no sparks or fireworks between us. We're like an icy hammer and a rusty nail." I said with a sigh.
"And I'm just an idiot."
I turned around only to see a disappointed yet crossed Serena Van Der Woodsen.
---------------------------------------------
"Serena! Serena! Listen, I can explain." I shouted as I grabbed her hand.
"Explain what Dan?! I'm sorry it isn't my fault I rekindled my love with my ex-girlfriend who happens to be one of your sworn enemies who tried to destroy your life and your relationship with every single person you have ever loved?" she screamed at me.
"Okay Serena, you don't know the full story. After I released the information that I was Gossip Girl. I did some soul searching and I realised what a horrible person I've been to everyone but especially to Vanessa. I was horrible to her and I didn't want to let our 15 years of friendship to go down the drain. So I called her after you know — you and I hooked up and I apologised to her. She came today and that's when I realised the butterflies were there. I'm truly sorry." I explained.
"Daniel Humphrey don't you ever breathe another word to me again." she said sternly. "I should've just listened to Blair. Don't ever step into my life again — I'm over it and I'm definitely over you."
"Serena.." I grabbed her hand pleading for her forgiveness. Serena turned around and gave me a tight slap.

Blair's POV
"Now don't you look dapper." I said grinning to Chuck. "I could get used to this you know." he walked towards me and pecked my lips. "Are you ready?" he asked again.
"As ready as I'll ever be. My bags are in the room." I replied him. "Good, I'll just get the car around and we'll be off." he replied smiling.
"Oh how exciting! Chuck, you have absolutely no idea how much I've been wanting this trip to Paris. One that I'm together with you of course. Now that we're married, Chuck and Blair will take Paris by storm — honeymooning at its finest. After all, Paris is my second favourite city after New York." I squealed.
"Then we must be on our way. Nothing will stand in our way. The Bass jet is ready for take-off and everything is in place. All that is left is for us to leave the Empire." he glanced at me.

Serena's POV
How could I have been such an idiot? For once in my life I wish I listened to Blair. I needed to speak to her. I ringed her cell and it went straight to voicemail.
"B, you were right." I said sobbing, "I should've listened. Dan is the same horrible person — I caught him with Vanessa and I feel horrible please call me back."
*A few hours later*
I still haven't heard from Blair. That was odd, if she heard the disappointment in my voice from the voicemail I left her she'd come running to be by my side. I decided to call Chuck — voicemail too.
Tears rolled down my face and at this point I didn't know what to do. I couldn't get a hold of my best friend and brother. I grabbed my phone and went through my contacts — I needed to find a name that comforted me.
Nate. It was Nate. I had to call Nate. Within two rings Nate picked up his phone.
"Nate?" I stuttered my voice was shaky and sniffly. "Serena? Are you okay?" he sounded worried. "Nate, I.., I..," I went on. "Serena, where are you? Hang in there okay? I'm on my way."
