Hester could tell that Tina wasn't exactly excited about bringing three strangers to her home that night. Though the young witch felt no sympathy for her, as it was Tina Goldstein's brilliant idea to force them to come with her in the first place.
Tina led them around a corner, quickly scurrying behind a couple of repair trucks as if she were trying to avoid being seen. Her eyes wide, she let out a shaky breath before she turned to look at her prisoners. "Before we go in, I'm not supposed to have men on the premises."
Newt's eyes seemed to light up at her words, and he quickly grabbed Jacob Kowalski's arm, tugging him towards him. "In that case, Mr. Kowalski and I can easily seek other accommodation-"
"Oh no, you don't!" Tina cried, reaching out and grabbing Jacob's arm once more. She pulled Jacob along with her as she stuck towards the dark building, Newt dutifully following.
Left alone behind the repair trucks, Hester took this as her moment of chance. She quickly picked up her purse, swinging it over her shoulder; though before she got a chance to sneak away from the others, Newt appeared back around the truck. He stared at Hester expectantly, his eyebrows furrowed.
"Are you coming?" He asked the witch.
"Thank you for the invitation," Hester told him with faux politeness, adjusting the bag on her shoulder. "But I really must be going now."
Newt rolled his eyes at her sarcastic tone, grabbing her arm tightly before she had a chance to make a break for it. Hester sighed in defeat as the British man began dragging her over to the building, where Tina and Jacob were waiting.
"This really has been a bad day," Hester muttered under her breath, part of her hoping that Newt heard her.
Once inside the building, Tina began to lead them up the stairway, her finger over her mouth as she tried to be as quiet as possible. They had almost made it to Tina's home when a bright light shone from below them, and a woman's voice echoed through the stairwell.
"Is that you, Tina?"
"Yes, Mrs. Esposito!" Tina answered, her voice strained.
"Are you alone?" the woman asked, causing Tina to visibly tense.
"Always alone, Mrs. Esposito," the dark-haired witch grumbled. This caused Hester to slap a hand over her mouth in order to keep herself from laughing aloud, earning a glare in her direction from Tina.
Tina lead them into the Goldstein apartment, closing the door behind Hester with a sigh of relief. Hester stared around her at the tiny apartment; although it was impoverished, the apartment was enlivened by magical objects flying around. An iron was busy working away in a corner, unmanned.
A young woman with short and curly blonde hair stepped into sight, ready to greet the guests. Jacob Kowalski stared at the woman with wide, awe-struck eyes; Hester was surprised to find that he was not drooling.
Newt, on the other hand, barely noticed the obviously beautiful woman, as he was too busy staring out a window to the streets below. Eager to leave the cramped and awkward apartment, Hester couldn't help but mimic his impatient attitude.
"Teenie, you brought men home?" the beautiful woman asked in a quiet, timid voice; she wore a small smile on her red lips.
"Gentlemen- and Miss Griffin- this is my sister," Tina introduced the woman in a flat tone before turning to eye her sister expectantly. "You want to put something on, Queenie?"
"Oh, sure," Queenie said, looking down at her rather revealing outfit. Then, with a hop in her step, she turned her back to the others. Using her wand, she caused a midnight blue gown to magically run up her body. Hester glanced over at Jacob, amused to find him staring at Queenie with a smirk on his face.
