So I get to the park, and just sit down on the same bench I sat down on last time I was here, which was with Gene.
I sit there for a few seconds but then I see Laurance. He was wearing a red shirt and some black skinny jeans.
"Hey Aphmau."
"Hey Laurance. What's up?"
"Nothing much. Just been bored, ya know?"
"Heh, yeah, I guess."
Honestly, I've been anything but bored. Though I see why he is, Garroth is away. Him and Garroth started dating a little less than a year ago. I was honestly shocked. The guys who liked me through out highschool, fall in love. I'm happy for them, though.
"So Aphmau, want some water?"
"Yep."
As he goes to get me some water, I spot a familiar person in the corner of my eye. Gene. I've never really realized, he was actually quite attractive. He was wearing a black hoodie, somewhat like the one in highschool, but without the skull.
He walks up to me and says...
"Hey Aphmau, here with someone?"
"Oh, hey Gene! I was actually hanging out with Laurance, he just went me to go get some water."
"Oh, cool."
I could tell something was wrong with him.
"Gene, is something on your mind?"
"Yes, actually. I was wondering what happens with you and Ivy."
"Oh..."
"I-It's okay if you don't want to talk about it. It's- I was just... I dunno."
"Heh, it's okay. So to sum it up quickly, my boyfriend, now ex, Aaron, cheated on me with her about 2 years ago. I obviously dumped Aaron then and there, but Ivy... She was my best friend. Best friends don't do that."
"Oh, I'm sorry to bring it up, Aph."
"No, as I said it's okay."
As I look over, I see Laurance coming back with my water.
"Hey Aph here's your- GENE!?!!!?"
"Dude, chill. Gene and I are friends."
"We are?"
Gene said that in a way is if he never had a true friend before.
"Of course. But since Laurance almost spilt my water all over me, I think you should go."
"Heh, okay. See ya."
"Bye."
"Aphmau? What the fuck?"
"What? Jealous of his good hair?"
I don't know why I said that, it just felt natural.
"H-Hey!"
"Listen, I know Gene was like the demon back then, but I think he really has changed, Laurance."
"Well, you do what you want. But I'm staying as far away as I can get from that guy."
"Ugh, Laurance. Always judging a person because of their past."
"Hey! Aphmau!"
We both giggle.

               Gene's POV

I was kinda shocked whenever Aphmau called me her friend in front of someone. I don't think I've ever had a true friend. I had Sasha and Zenix, but they weren't real. I have my brother, but he's not my friend. He's my brother. I looked back at Aphmau as she was talking and laughing with Laurance. But whenever I watched them, my stomach started to ache. I felt... I felt... Weird. Flu?

This isn't jealousy... Is it?
