Jimin pov ( Week 3: Sunday)
"Cupcake, slow down." I say as she practically drags me across the street when the walk sign flickers. I decided to distress because the last few days have been intense. Yoongi and I are still not talking and it feels like when you have sex with the guy across from your dorm in college and try to avoid each other the rest of the year...
I just want things to settle down and for us to be able to talk, but it doesn't seem like it will happen anytime soon. So, here I am being led by my puppy to nowhere in particular- that is until I bump into someone. When I look up, I'm shocked to see Namjoon, Yoongi's boss.
"Jimin, is that you?" He questions with a smile.
I look over his shoulder to see if there is a way out but sadly, the foot traffic is too high to swerve to the other side. So I put on a bright smile and answer, "Y-yeah, I haven't seen you in so long."
"Yeah, since you and Yoongi got divorced." He scratches his head. "Kind of missed you coming down to the office on your breaks some days."
I offer a small laugh and pull the leash back as Cupcake tries to jump on him. "Sorry, I'm still training her."
Namjoon, however doesn't seem bothered as he bends down to pet her. "It's fine, I love dogs. My husband is allergic to them so I can't have one though."
"Oh, that must suck." I stand there awkwardly as he continues to run his hand through Cupcakes fur. "Well, I should be getting back home..." I trail off.
I tap my foot as Namjoon stands back up and stretches his back. "Okay, nice seeing you Jimin."
After parting ways, I pick up my pace. I give into Cupcake and let her drag me along the sidewalk and say sorry to every person I brush up against. It's not till ten minutes later when we stop, that I notice my surroundings. A medium sized building stands in front of me. It's plain exterior mask the colorful painted walls and futuristic design on the inside. Hanging over the double doors is a sign that reads, "Graphics for the next generation."
I feel my stomach clench and my hands start to sweat. I haven't come back to my old job since I quit 7 months ago. Even being near it gives me a headache. Why did I take this job? Before I can stop myself, tears start falling down my face and my chest tightens even more.
I wipe my tears away sloppily as I pull Cupcake away from the building that started it all...
"Jimin, will you tell me why you've been smiling all day?" Yoongi begs for the millionth time today, but I shake my head. "Come on Jimin. I want to hear the good news."
"The good news? What good news?" I grin and Yoongi pouts, making me want to give in.
"I'll force it out of you." He warns and I back away slowly.
"Try guessing?" I tease and Yoongi strokes his chin.
"You won the lottery?" I shake my head. "You got us tickets to a cruise?"
"Nope." I chuckle and Yoongi grabs my waist before I can move away. "One more guess."
"Why are you making things difficult for your husband." He breathes as he kisses my neck. "You got the job?"
"Maybe." I answer and Yoongi pulls away.
"Really?!" His eyes open like big saucers and I peck his lips.
"I got my dream job!" I shout and Yoongi twirls me around as I laugh.
"I'm so proud of you!" He breathes into my neck and I hug him tightly. "I knew you could do it."
