I got into my car and started driving to Kate's house. We lived a 5 minute drive away from each other which was so useful considering we are practically sisters. I have known her my entire life! She was a gigantic part of my recovery and I will always be great full for that. I pulled up outside her house and beeped my horn.
"Alright alright I'm coming" Kate yelled while locking the door.
"You look nice hun." I replied as she was doing up her seat belt. She was wearing black high waisted shorts with a white best top tucked in with boots with her hair tied up in a mesh pony tail.
"So do you babe. I can't believe that you are actually on time! Remember that time when you were an hour late?"
"Okay okay!" We laughed together. We put on the radio and sang along to Wrecking Ball by Miley Cyrus.
It was a 45 minute drive down the the Gower. It was actually surprisingly hot once we arrived there and met up with the girls. They were sat on the wall by Sophie's car chatting to these boys. There were 5 boys standing there, all tall and muscular. I sort of recognised them but just vaguely.
"Ahh you've arrived!" Sophie screamed as we came nearer to them. She was always so excitable. She ran up to us followed by the other girls and had a group hug. We all hadn't seen each other together in such a long time.
"Omg I can't believe we are all actually were! How long has it been, three weeks?" Mila asked.
"Yeah it must have been!" Kate replied.
"Three weeks seems like a century long though!" Bella exclaimed. We all laughed together again. We hadn't seen each other in such a long time which sounds ridiculous but we usually see each other every day! They all look so lovely! Sophie was wearing these tomboy jeans and a burgundy crop top with black creepers with half her hair up the other half down. Bella was wearing her bright orange bikini top with high waisted shorts and converse as Mila was wearing high skinny black jeans and black vest top with her black sandals.
"So um remember those life guards from last time we came?" Sophie asked.
"Well duh of corse!" Kate and I exclaimed at the same time.
"That's them over there! We have been talking to them for about an hour and we found out that they are going to the same party we're all going to!" Mila replied. Ah, so I did recognise them! Suddenly my heart rate increased and I could hear my blood pumping in my ears. I began to get hotter and more agitated. I haven't really hung out or spoken to boys in a long time.
"So you two must be Kate and Daisy!" One of the lifeguards said.
"Yeah, I'm Kate and this is Daisy." Kate pointed out.
"I'm Brook, this is Tom, Jake, Billy and Tyler."
"Ah okay, hi." I replied. We all talked together while making our way down to the beach. But there was one boy though, one who just kept catching my eye. Tyler. Tyler and I kept on talking most of the time. Of course I talked to the other boys but I just seemed to get on better with Tyler. It was nice talking to a boy, one which was easy to talk to. After we had all been swimming and has lunch we decided to meet up at the party. It was such a nice day at the beach. Everything was calm and relaxed, although I got rather flustered when Tyler put my sun screen on my back. Oh how kind Tyler was then, and how wrong and naive I was about him.
