I fish through my 'shopping' and pull out a black parka I got. The temperature is dropping drastically as night falls. I can hear laughing down the street. Some kids probably threw some lame party. I turn to my new iPod (they don't supply phones yet they have weapons? What?!) and connect it to my speakers I found. It's great, this place is fully connected to internet, although you physically cant use it to contact anyone. I guess that's because the dome stops signals or something. I start looking through my songs and decide to play 'Why Worry' by Set It Off, my favourite band, and start to sing along, my voice way to high pitched for the song.

The probably artificial sun is completely gone over the horizon. I am sitting on top of my roof which is fairly easy to access. You just have to climb onto the windowsill next to the door and pull yourself up. It helps to be light though. I look at the street, the occasional teen walks along, paying no attention to me. A few of them seem drunk, that is not impossible, there is a liquor store connected the the massive supermarket. Do the people who own this place not care for any ones well-being? The party down the road is louder than ever and I sigh, a cloud of white escaping from my lips as I try to think. Today has been rather calm considering I, and everyone else here, was kidnapped. I like the whole 'free to roam' factor but I would rather be back at home in my warm bed. Although it wouldn't be as nice to be there as before. It never is anymore. Not since Chris broke up with me. That bed was our spot to hang out. We used to sit there and watch random, sometimes cringy YouTube videos and make horrible puns. Now its just this big, comfy place of sad.
"Yo Annalise!" I look down to see Kasey and some other girls I met earlier. Kasey has her ash-grey hair tied back into a bun and is half covered with a bulky cobalt scarf. The rest of the girls I didn't know as much, I knew their names but that was about it. Carmela, Lavinia and Chloe. They were all dressed perfectly for the cold. I smile down at them as I slide down the roof and look at the ground, calculating how to jump down. I decide to carefully step onto the windowsill, which was still difficult but I made it to the ground safely. "What's up Kase?" I tilt my head a bit. "Were going to hang out at the pizzeria for a little bit. Its really warm in there." I nod and they begin walking out of my front yard.

We sit down in the empty pizzeria. "So um. How do we even get food?" Lavinia asks, her black straightened hair shifting as she looks around. "I guess we serve ourselves." Chloe says and walks through the door labelled 'Staff Only'. I sit at a table with Carmela and Kasey as Lavinia and Chloe search for food. "This whole place is so stupid." Carmela pouts and pulls her knees up to her chest. I look outside and see that it has started snowing. Its quite pretty.
Then the sirens start.
