troyes pov
living in new york with your boyfriend- coming from australia- is hard. i literally have no friends. even back home i didnt have many friends, but still. i have decided to make some friends.
jacob is at work currently, so i left a note on the table saying i was going to starbucks and the park and stuff. i walked out of our apartment and walked down the hallway.
when i got outside, i started walking down streets, just too see whats around me.
later on after walking a while i reached a park, it has kids and familys and teens scattered all over the place. i decided to go on the swings.
theres a cute little boy running around. i cant wait till me and jacob have our own little boy.
i noticed a girl, maybe my age, sitting on a bench on her laptop with starbucks next to her. she has black long hair tied up in a high pony tail, black thick sunglasses, a black shirt that says new york, denim jeans and a black flannel.
i got up from the swings and walked over to her.
"mind if i sit here?' i asked, she looked up and smiled.
"not at all." she replied.
i sat down and i noticed she was watching me.
"you got quite an accent." she smiled.
"oh, yeah i come from australia."i smiled.
"visiting family?" she asked.
"no, im living with my boyfriend." i replied.
"ah okay." she took a sip of her starbucks.
"im troye." i smiled, putting my hand out.
"im nicole." she smiled, and hugged me.
"do you live close around here?" she asked.
"well, i actually just walked around until i found some place." i laughed at myself.
"oh my, i live close, actually maybe like a street away." she said. she closed her laptop and looked at me.
"do you want a tour around the city?" she asked.
"i would, but id kinda like to get back soon. i dont want my boyfriend to worry." i declined.
"is he at home?"
"no, hes at work but-"
"then lets go to his work! where does he work?" she stood up.
"uh at some kind of bookstore, i dont know where it is." i replied.
"oh i know which bookstore, theres really only like one around this area so." she grabbed onto my wrist.
"lets go!" she pulled me up and we walked.
we left the park, being shown the big, big city.
"so, you got any friends here?" nicole asked.
"not really no, all i really have is jacob."
"your boyfriend?" she questioned.
"yes."
"jacob bixenman?"
"yeah..?"
"oh! i know him!" she exclaimed.
"you do?" my eyes widened.
"how couldnt i? hes the nicest guy in the whole area basically. everyone around here knows him." she explained.
"i never knew he was gay though." she mumbled.
"neither did i." i said.
"you didnt?"
"not when i first moved in. when i moved in a couple months ago, we barely knew each other. i didnt know what his name was or or what he looked like or anything. all i knew about him when i first got there is that he was letting me live in his apartment. then we got to know each other after i moved in and he said he had a girlfriend then one night he came home drunk and said he broke up with her." i explained.
"why did he break up with her?" nicole asked.
"because he said he loved me." i replied.
"wow, thats cute." she laughed.
"yeah, at that time i didnt really know how to like take all of it you know?"
"yeah."
"because i just moved in that week and he expressed his love for me? when i thought he was straight."
"hey,if that happened to me, i wouldve ran away aha." she laughed.
we walked in silence. not really silence though because new york city is loud.
"there it is!" she pointed.
levi's books.
she grabbed my hand and we ran across the busy street. she opened the door and it made a bing sound. we walked in.
i looked around the store, seeming cute and cozy. theres also a little couch area with chairs and coffee tables and couches.
nicole tapped my shoulder and i turned around. she motioned her head at jacob who was talking with a customer.
once the customer leaves, nicole grins and grabs me hand. she pulled me behind her. since shes quite taller than me, if you were standing in front of her you wouldnt be able to notice me.
"hi nicole." i heard jacobs deep voice.
"hi jacob." she replied.
"i have a question?"
"yeah?"
"do you sell art?" nicole asked. i felt her grip on my hand get tighter.
"no...why?" he asked.
"because id like to buy this piece of art off of ya." she said, and pulled me out from behind her.
i saw his facial expression rise and he smiled.
"troye! what are you doing here?" he smiled widely.
"nicole brought me here."i said.
"how do you know nicole?" he asked.
"we met at the park." she chipped in.
"well im glad youre here troye, now you know where i work." he smiled.
i nodded, and turned next to nicole.
"is there a starbucks around here?" i asked.
"yes! yes yes yes i love starbucks! theres one like down this street or something." she smiled.
"hey, troye."
i turned around, "yeah?"
"im gonna see if i can get on my lunch. wanna go back to the house?" he asked.
"can nicole come?" i asked.
he tensed up for a moment, but answered. "sure."
i ran up to his desk and pulled his tie and crashed our lips together. i heard nicole scream or squeal i dont know. i felt jacob smile. i pulled away and told him to get on his lunch break.
i turned around to see nicole with her hands over her mouth- even though it was obvious to see that she was smiling.
