Chapter 1

A/N Before any one gets confused the italicized sentences are Gina's conscience.

Gina's POV

The nervousness and the excitement I was feeling could not be contained. I'm graduating college for goodness sake's. As I sit and watch my fellow classmates get their diplomas and head off into the world that is called Earth excites me. The distance from me to the stage is getting shorter and shorter. My heart is beating right out of my chest. This is it. "Gina Shah", said the dean of my college. I started climbing up the steps towards the stage with the biggest smile plastered onto my face. As I was walking across the stage to get my diploma all I could think about was the future ahead of me.

Gina, if you trip and fall on this stage you'll be the laughing stock of the class. Everyone will remember you like that. YOU CAN'T TRIP!

As I stepped off the stage I felt a sense of accomplishment. Four years of college over and done. I ended college with a 4.0. It really couldn't get any better than that. After a few hundred more people walked across the stage to get their diplomas, the ceremony was finished. I got up off my seat and greeted my parents who were waiting excitedly for me. After a few minutes of talking I said my goodbyes to my friend and headed home. These past 3 years I rented an apartment with a couple of my friends. I just needed to pack up my stuff and get ready for the graduation dinner my parents are hosting. When I got home I got a call from an unknown number I thought I'd pick it up. It could be for my new job.

"Hello" I said.

"Hello, this is Amanda from R&S Corp. calling for a Gina Shah", said the person on the other line.

"This is she.", I said.

"Ah yes, I've calling to inform you that your resume has caught the attention of the CEO of this company and that I would like to schedule a meeting with my CEO and a few head of committees with your permission of course." said Amanda

I was speechless. They wanted me to give them a presentation in front of the CEO of R&S Corp. That is the biggest company ever. I can't believe they want me. What'd they see in me? I'm not super pretty for them to notice me that way and I didn't think I was that good for a big company like R&S Corp.

"Ms. Shah", Amanda said.

When she said my name I was brought back to reality. What would I say though? Yes or No. Could I do this? Would I be capable enough to.

C'mon Gina just answer the damn question already.

"Yes, it would be my pleasure to present my presentation in front of these people", I said.

"Okay then, I will schedule a meeting and Ms. Shah it would be perfectly fine if you used the presentation you showed me and my boss a couple days ago. They won't know you used it before. I won't tell and my boss wouldn't either. You are by far the best candidate that have come and approached us.I see so much potential in you! Don't change anything." Amanda said.

"I won't. Thank you for everything,

Amanda. I really appreciate it." I said

"Don't worry about it." said Amanda.

Then she hung up. I threw my phone on the couch and sat down thinking to myself what my life is going to become as a worker in a company like R&S. I just kept thinking and thinking until my phone rang again and this time it was just my best friend, Jay. Jay and I have known each other since the beginning of college and we instantly became really good friends. Now, I know a lot of people say we would look cute together and all but me and him don't feel that way towards each other. We never did and I'm pretty sure we never will. He is like a big brother I never had.

"Where in the world are you, young lady?! Don't you know that you have a graduation dinner starting in an hour? Jay spoke

"Yeah I'm getting ready but.." I said but Jay interrupted me.

"No buts. You know we can find your future husband at a thing like this" Jay said while trying to contain his laughter

"Really?!" I said my voice going as high pitched as possible. The sarcasm in my voice was noticeable. I wanted to settle down but I wanted to fall in love with the man of my dreams not get an arranged marriage to some random stranger.

"Really!" Jay couldn't contain his laughter anymore so he laughed and I joined him too. We were laughing for awhile until he finally spoke.

"You know I'm just kidding but your mother may not. Now where the hell are you so I can beat your fuckin ass up?" Jay said

There's the Jay I know. Always the one with the mouth.

"I'm on my way"

"Bullshit"

"Okay I'm not but stall for me. I'll love you forever"

"The fuck,Gina?"

"Pleaseeeeeeee"

"Okay but only this once. If I fucking hear a word out of you telling me to do this again you'll pay."

"Okay! Thank you!!"

I quickly got ready to go to my own graduation dinner. I put on a minimum amount of makeup. I then ran to go do my hair quickly. I curled my brownish-blackish hair and found my dress. I wanted something that would show my long tanned legs. It was a short,navy blue strapless dress that came to my mid thigh.I put a leather jacket over it and it looked perfect. I didn't look slutty or anything so that was good. I walk out of my house and into my 2014 camero. It was my baby.I start the car and I hear the engine come to life. I, then make my way to my parents house which is about 40 minutes away.

~ 40 minutes later ~

I drive into my parents driveway. When I approached the door, it swung open and there was Jay in all his beauty. He was wearing dark wash jeans with a white button down shirt. His brown eyes staring at me in amusement.His dark hair was in an 'I just woke up but still look good' kind of way. He looked good in what he wore but I still don't have any feelings for him. He was as tan as me because we both happen to be Indian. No, we are not Native American Indian but Indians from India.

"Guess who finally made it"

"I know I'm late but I got a call from R&S Corp. the place I applied to and the CEO wants to see me and my work soon!

"What?! That's great! Congratulations!"

Jay then crashed me into him and gave me the biggest bear hug known to mankind. Just then my parents approached me and  I told them the good news. They said they were really proud of me! 

 ~3 hours later~

My parents said there goodbyes to the last of their guests and the only ones left in the house was my mom, dad, sister, brother-in-law, brother, and of course Jay with his family. We all had small talk and decided that it'd be best if Jay ad his family stay the night since it was already late. They agreed and I looked straight at Jay. He had a mischievous look on his face and I knew I was in some big trouble tonight.
