** As I started to turn the door nob I felt the nervousness in the pit of my stomach grow bigger by the second. I turned the nob and opened the door slowly. The lights were off so I flicked the light switch. there was a bed in there but nothing else. At first I didn't see Charlie but I saw him hiding under the bed. " come here" I said to him and he whimpered but ran over.
I put him behind me and walked in. something obviously wasn't right and I wanted to know what. I looked around and saw nothing unusual until I got to the bathroom. I was walking around and when I looked up at the mirror a woman was standing behind me blood dripping down her face. Hair a mess and clothes disheveled. I turned around as fast as I could letting out a scream. She vanished within seconds.
"Honey what's wrong?" My dad asked. My mom was behind him and they both looked extremely worried about me. " I saw a woman behind me when I looked in the mirror. She had blood on her face and...and" I broke down collapsing on the floor crying. This doesn't make sense I have to get out of here but there's no where to go.
My mom and dad rushed towards me and tried to calm me down. They told me I was just stressed or tired and I was seeing things. I then told them about how the dog was in the room and they said he must have come in when I was downstairs and the door shut. But I wasn't having any of it. "Mom we have to get out of here now!"I said. They just shook their heads.
They walked me and Charlie to my room and my mom brought me a sleeping pill. I didn't want to take it in fear of nightmares but they made me take it anyways. They told me goodnight and if I needed anything to come get them.
They both left my room after that and my mom turned the light out. I was so scared so I plugged in my lamp and turned it on. There's no way I'm getting a good nights sleep tonight even with sleeping pills. My first day at Jefferson High will be just great.

2:30 am
I open my eyes and it's pitch black. I want to get my phone to see the time but I realize that I can't move my body at all. I see a red light coming from the corner of my room and I see something or rather someone coming from the wall.
I want to scream but no sound comes out. Silent tears begin to roll down my face because this by far is the scariest thing that has ever happened to me. The woman I saw earlier came through the wall and her head was down her hair covering her face. I can see that she is slowly walking towards me and I begin to attempt moving my arms and legs even harder but nothing is happening. I look back up to see her at the foot of my bed standing there she slowly lifts her head up and reveals a wicked smile. Her eyes are black as pitch. She's wearing and old dress that has Tears all over the sleeves and her fingernails are all bloody. She walks to the side of my bed and starts touching my hair. I hear Charlie barking which is really cute from a puppy but I can't think about it right now. I can only think of the woman in front of me and my inability to move. My chest rises and falls rapidly and my vision is extremely blurred. She starts to put her head closer to mine and then I feel my fingers begin to move and I'm feeling a little bit of relief. She notices too and grins even bigger. She gets on top of me on my bed and holds my hands down. "This can't be real" is what I was telling myself but this was REAL.
I start trying to get my arms out of her grip but it's no good I can't. I feel my legs again and I jam my knee into her stomach. She looks to be in disbelief for a moment giving me the perfect opportunity to slide off my bed onto the floor with a big "thump".
I turn quickly to see that she is gone. I don't know what I've just experienced. I slowly and cautiously get up looking all around me and race to my light switch Turing on the light. I look around to see nothing I go to my nightstand and see that it's only 2:40 in the morning. I give an audible groan knowing that I'm going to be extremely tired tomorrow.
I don't want to tell my parents because they will just blow me off again. I stay up until I can't help it any longer and I fall asleep. But 30 minutes later my alarm clock goes off and I get ready for my
first day at Jefferson high.
I go straight to the bathroom and a take a quick shower. I brush my teeth and leave my hair straight. I don't really care how I look right now even though it's my first day so I put on jeans and a reddish burgundy shirt. I put on my favorite pair of earrings, a watch, and my converse.
I walk downstairs and fix myself a bowl or cereal. My mom is running down the stairs probably late like usual. " Goodbye honey have a great day! The bus should be here in a few." I tell her bye as she's already shutting the door. It's 6:30 so I just head to where my stop is after I finish my breakfast.
I see a small group of people talking to each other. They stop talking when they see me and eye me curiously. I don't want to appear afraid so I keep my head held high and keep walking towards them. The bus pulls up before I reach them and everyone rushes onto the bus.
I walk on and the bus driver stops me to ask who I am. I introduced myself and when I turn to take a seat somewhere everyone is looking at me. I take a breath and see that the only available seat is at the back where a boy is already sitting.
I make my way back there and sit next to him. He has brown hair and hazel eyes. That's all I notice because I don't want him to think I'm weird for staring at him.I thought I was hallucinating when I heard him say,"Hello." Why would someone like him want to talk to me?
He looked looked like the non sociable type. Hair slightly covering his eyes and scooted as far away from me as possible. And it looks like everyone on the bus avoided him too since this was the last seat available.
" you new ?" he asked as he gave me a knowing look. I shook my head yes. Ugh why was i acting so nervous now? " I'm Jake" he said with an outstretched hand. " Im Emily" I said as I shook his hand " nice to meet you."
Then before I knew it we were at the school and everyone was standing up to go in. There were several other busses about 10-15.For such a small town there were lots of students and they looked like they couldn't be happier to be here right now.
I stood up as did Jake and we both started to walk off the bus. "Do you need any help finding your way around?"I looked at him with a genuinely grateful smile,"yeah...if you don't mind."
"No it's not a problem" we started walking towards the building.
