MERRY CHRISTMAS

I woke up.
Today was a beautiful day. Sun shining. Birds chirping. Said no one ever. Although it was sunny and birds were chirping, I was EXHAUSTED.... we hadn't even had a case the previous night. I was just tired. I tried going back to sleep, but I couldn't. UGH...

Finally, I decided to look at the clock. It was only 9:01. Much too early, but it wasn't like I could go to sleep anyway, so I decided to actually get up out of bed.

I changed into a white tank top, a black jacket, black skirt, and black leggings. Don't ask why so much black. I just like it.

Anyway, after changing, I washed my face and brushed my hair. Then I walked out of my room and down the stairs. Lockwood and George were already in the kitchen, eating breakfast.

"Wow, you finally woke up," said George.

"Hey, this is actually early," I replied.

"This would be considerably early for any other day, but not today," said Lockwood.

"What's today?" I asked.

"Do you know what the date is?"

"December 25."

"Which is the date of...?"

"Of what?"

"Of Christmas!!!!!! What else?"

"Oh."

"Don't 'oh' me, Luce. Today is a special day."

"Okay okay where's Holly?"

Holly and I had become friends over the past few weeks.

"I'm here," a voice said.

I jumped up and ran over to her.

"What took you so long?"

"It doesn't matter. Eat breakfast."

Only then did I notice my hunger.

"Ugh..." I groaned.

Lockwood said, "Don't tell me that you forgot the gifts! George even remembered to buy gifts!"

"I remembered. I just didn't want to wake up... They're under the Christmas tree," I replied.

Time skip...

Lockwood, George, Holly, and I opened our presents.
Lockwood got the words "Lockwood and Co" carved in wood.
George got a blanket that had sleeves and pockets (btw I actually did get this).
Holly got some makeup and hair extensions.
I got a new sketchpad, as well a new set of art supplies.

We all thanked each other.

Just then, George got up and said, "Holly, will you help me get the doughnuts to celebrate Christmas?"

"Can't you do that yourself?" I asked.

"Nope, there's a lot of doughnuts."

They walked to the kitchen.
