Ryan's POV:
It has been three weeks since I got out of the hospital, and Brendon seems to be coping well with the loss of Dallon. I want so badly to ask him to be my boyfriend, and it hurts to wait. I have to wait, I keep telling myself that. I have to because if I ask him before he is ready to move on from Dallon.
I am jarred from my thoughts by a quiet voice. "Ryan?"
"Yes Brendon?" I say, trying to hide my surprise. I had been staying with him after I got out of the hospital.
"Can I- Can I sleep with you tonight?" My heart skipped a beat, but I knew he didn't love me, so I needed to calm down. It wasn't as though he was going to put his arms around me.
"Yes" I replied hesitantly. I fought the urge to wrap an arm around his waist as he clambered under the sheets next to me.
Brendon's POV:
I climbed into bed next to Ryan Ross. He was completely tense, and I contemplated offering to leave. But instead my mouth twisted the words. "Ryan? Will you be my boyfriend?"
