Talia's Pov

I woke up with a stretch and a small yawn, before rubbing the sleep out of my eyes. I looked around, and was instantly able to recognize the familiar surroundings. James' house. I got up from the couch and walked towards the kitchen, becoming more confused as I found not a single trace of the colombian.

My eyes caught a glimpse of a note that was stuck to the fridge.

'Off to training, I'll bring back breakfast! xx' - your favorite football player ;)

I rolled my eyes with a grin, as I went back upstairs to the guest room. I opened my duffel bag and grabbed some fresh new clothes, along with my toothbrush and hairbrush, and headed inside the bathroom to freshen up thanking God that James always left extra toothpaste and shampoo in this room's bathroom.

"Sergio asked about you by the way," James cleared his throat, making me stop eating, "he was asking everyone whether we saw your or not, he seemed worried you know!" I rolled my eyes, "well that wasn't how it went yesterday, so!" I scoffed as I went back to finish my sandwich.

"Lia," James sighed, "no James! I told you I don't want to talk about it right now!" James rolled his eyes, "then when will you talk about it?!" he raised his voice a bit, "you can't continue to run away from your problems Lia! You have to start facing them, they won't disappear if you keep running from them! If anything, then they'll just keep on chasing you!"

"Well, there's nothing to talk about James!" I glared at him, "Sergio kicked me out, and that's that!" James clenched his jaw, before glaring back at me, "he didn't Lia! You guys were arguing, and he was angry! He didn't even tell you to get out, he simply told you that if you don't like his rules then you can leave!"

"Which is an indirect way of kicking someone out!" I yelled, "he said it as if I meant nothing to him! As if he wouldn't give a damn if I left, do you know how that made me feel?! Betrayed, by my own brother!"

"Betrayed by your own brother?" James raised an eyebrow, "are you serious Lia?!" James scoffed, "you cannot be serious!!" James shook his head in his disbelief, while I just rolled my eyes at him.

"Sergio literally took you in Lia! I mean yeah, he's your brother and he kind of has to, but it's still so hard! He has to take care of not only himself but you as well, he could've just thrown you out or force you to stay in Seville with one of your cousins or something! But no! He took you in, and he's always making sure that you're living the best life, and that everything you need is by your side!"

"So don't you dare tell me that you feel betrayed by the one person who was there for you when no one was, and the one person who gave you hope that there's still some good in this world!"

I opened my mouth to say something but instantly closed it as soon as I realized how right James was.

Sergio was the one who gave me strength to go on with my life and to not give up, he gave me all the support I needed and he never left my side. I shouldn't let just one stupid argument come in between us.

Before Sergio and I lived together by ourselves, we used to live with our parents back in Seville, which was a few years ago.

My father, you could say, was not a good person. He used to be, but he changed after the incident took place.

The incident; my mother's death.

My mother was/still is my role model, she's literally everything I strive to be. She's the strongest woman to ever exist on earth, and I will forever be proud to have called her my mom.

My mother was a warrior, one of the strongest warriors to fight in a battle with Leukemia, and even though she was slowly losing her life, our happiness meant the whole world to her and she was always putting us first.

However, my mom did not pass away from Leukemia. In fact, my mother has managed to survive and win that battle.

My mom was a very optimistic person, she used to love Seville and she always loved to walk around in Seville's beautiful streets, and I would always accompany her on her daily strolls.

One day however, I wasn't able to go because I had a huge project that I had to finish for the day after and it needed all my time, though that did not stop my mom from going on her walk.

The walks usually took about an hour maximum, and my father and I were starting to get really worried when mom was half an hour late.

We called her and sent her texts but we received nothing, so we decided to go and look for her.

Sergio was in Madrid at the time because he had trainings. He lived in Madrid, but always came and spent the weekends here in Seville, that is if he didn't have a match.

Anyway, after an hour or so of looking we found mom, and the way she looked that day is something that still haunts me till this very day. It was so hard for me, she was beaten up, her clothes scattered around, and she was laying in her own blood. She was dead, and it was the worst feeling ever.

Someone so cruel beat her and raped her to death, and if I ever find out who that person is, I will kill them with my bare hands.

My father turned into an alcoholic and an abusive person, he'd beat me up most of the time and treat me as if I was some slave, and I never told Sergio about it.

Until he eventually figured it out, and even caught him while he was beating me up. I still remember the look on Sergio's face and how much anger and rage he held in his eyes as soon as he found us.

Our father was instantly reported and was sent to jail, but I know nothing more of him. Whether he's still in there or he's free, is something that I'm unaware of.

This is the reason why Sergio is very protective over me, and why he doesn't really trust people around me easily. I mean come to think about it, the person who was raising me up was the person who was going to be responsible for my death, that is if Sergio haven't found us.

Sergio has saved my life, and I know that he'll forever be there for me no matter what. James is right, I shouldn't let a silly argument come in between my brother and I. My brother who is all I have in this world, and the one person I truly love the most.

For once, I'm going to face my problems and apologize to my brother, because no matter what I say, I know I'll always need him by my side! After all, he is my source of power, my strength, and my happiness.

He's my everything.

Idk this probably sucked, I'm sorry :((( I know it was boring but it was kind of a filler of how Sergio and Talia's past was like, and now you know why Sergio hates their father so much, SOO please vote and tell me what you think! Love you all xxx
