Blood seeped out from the hole a bullet made "You will make it Zoey, I won't lose you again" Rythian cried to his friend who lay there nearly dead. They both knew she wasn't going to live but Rythian refused to believe it "Rythian you'll be fine, got it. We both know I am going to die and you can't save me this time, your magic is to weak. You will be fine without me, you will have to move on got it" she stated, tears formed in her eyes, he cried even more "No, no Zoey you can't leave me I need you, your the only person that stops me from turning into a monster. If you leave me I will be alone, don't you dare die" he pleaded, she let out a small smile "Come on, you will have Teep and Nilesey will be there, you will be fine with out me" She says, putting one hand on his cheek "They are different" he mumbles "Zoey I need you because I love you" he says without hesitation "I love you to Rythian, you have made me the happiest person in the world. I want you to remember all the fun we have had, you became my best friend and I love you more then anything..." Rythian finally accepted that she was going to die "Rythian, I want you to do one thing before I die... I want to see what's under your mask" she asks, normally he would refuse straight away but what difference would it make.

He reached for the top of it and slowly pulled it down. Dark purple surrounded the bottom of his face and faded out. cuts covered his face and he had sharp teeth that looked like sharks. Zoey looked shocked at him and he felt his heart sink "I know I'm a monster" he looked to the side so she couldn't see him, she smiled weakly and put one hand on is rough cheek, he faced her once again and she whispered "You may be a monster.... but your my monster" she smiles, she pulls his head gently closer to hers and kisses him, he wasn't shocked but responded right away by kissing back, it seemed to last for minutes but soon Rythian felt Zoey falling limp. He pulled away and she smiled one last time

"My little monster. Thank you" and with that she drew her final breath. A tear rolled down Rythians cheek "She's gone... she's gone and a couldn't save her" he mumbles. he picks her up in his strong arms

"Zoey... I'm sorry" he whispers

"I may be a monster, but I was her monster... she was the one bit of happiness I had left and they took her away from me. she was to sweet to have died. They didn't do this to hurt her but to hurt me. Even if it takes until the day I die she won't go unheard of... I will make sure everyone knows her name, and by all means she will be avenged.
