6: Heaven or Hell

Raphael sat on the couch with Chase in his lap, as Destiny finished up breakfast for the three. The smell of bacon, eggs, and pancakes filled the houses aroma. It caused Raphael's stomach to talk.

He nervously laughed licking his lips.

Destiny took in a deep breath as she watched his tongue ever so slightly moisten his lips. She wanted so badly to be where Chase was, but she quickly shook this thought from her head. 

"Breakfast's ready!" She called brining in the boys' plates first.

She sat next to Raph as she began to scoop food into her mouth. Raphael smiled as every bite was so small and her mouth would barely touch the fork. She looked so elegant about it. Her manner's were amazing to him. She was always so well presented. Especially in front of him. Raphael looked down at his plate and began to vaccum clean it. Piece after piece drug into his mouth, as he quickly scarfed it down. 

"Dat was da best breakfast eva..." He stated patting his stomach.

Destiny laughed grabbing his plate, "I'm glad you liked it. Want more?" She asked batting her butterfly eyelashes.

He waved his hand declining the offer, "I'm good. Thanks though."

Setting the plates in the sink, she hesitantly bit her lip before turning around to see Raphael inches in front of her. "Oh, am I in your way?" She nervously blurted out.

Raphael shook his head no as his eyes stayed fixed on hers. He had no words to say, just a deep stare. Reality finally kicked in when he had realized the shortness of breath they were both experiencing. 

"What da fuck am I doin?" He asked rubbing his head. "I-I gotta get home. I gotta get away from yous guys." He stated rushing to the fire escape.

"Will I see you again?" Chase asked looking at the red clad turtle with eyes of tears.

"I don't think that'd be a good..."

But before Raphael could finish his sentence there was his three brothers looking back at him from the outside.

"MOMMY THERE'S MORE!" Chase screamed looking at them.

Sighing, Raphael opened the window to let them in.

"We've been looking all over for you dude.." Mikey remarked looking around.

"Exposing yourself to humans..." Leo remarked. " So you've been here...hiding.."

"I haven't ben hidin' Leo.." Raphael clenched his fists as he drug his teeth. "Don't start wit me. Ya guys found me, right?"

"No thanks to you!" Leonardo quickly snapped. "Of course Donnie was able to get fingerprints off the letter Destiny and Chase left." He looked at the two humans knowing those were the ones.

"I'm glad you guys found us.." Destiny commented stepping forward as Chase and Mikey took off into his room. "Or him, really.."

Leo was even more angry now than ever. "Let's go home Raphael, NOW!"

Evil began to stir deep down in Raph's heart. He knew he as going to explode, but he didn't want Destiny to see his monster he kept caged. His breathing, he tried to control it. But with each demand from his older brother he grew more impatient.

"SHUT DA FUCK UP WILL YA!?" Raphael finally cursed causing everyone to jump. "YOU COME 'ERE TA FND ME FOR WHAT? MAYBE I DON'T WANNA COME HOME. DID YA EVER THINK OF DAT LEO!?"

"You have no choice. You listen to my orders." Leo blankly stated at the reved up brother.

Without any thought, Raphael balled his hand up ready to fight. He scraped his teeth, trying hard to find a reason not to hit his brother. But there wasn't one. 

"Don't do it Raph..." Leo blankly stated before unsheething his twin Katana blades.

The red clad turtle grunted before bringing his twin Sai's out to play. The two brothers stared at each other never once breaking contact. 

"Go outside." Raphael commented before shoulder bumping the eldest and disappearing through the window.

Leo followed him, while Destiny quickly ran to the fire escape to see the two fighting below. She gasped looking down.

"They always do this.." Donatello remarked.

"Not if I can help it..." She replied "Stop right now!" She demanded as she climbed down the escape. 

Donnie tried to warn her, but she didn't listen. She found herself in the middle of the battlefield.

"STOP!" She cried as she stood in between.

Leo's swords almost touched the girl's flesh, but Raphael shielded her with his Sai's. 

"WHY DA FUCK WOULD YA GET IN BETWEEN US!" He angrily shouted.

Destiny's eyes filled with tears. She just wanted all this to stop. The two boys looked at her. 

Leo took in a deep breath. "Thank you Destiny." He sighed.

Raphael on the other hand was still furious. How could she come into this fight. It was too dangerous.

"Leave.." Raphael demanded. "Just give me a minute..." He managed to push out through his gritted teeth.

The blue clad turtle nodded his head as he gathered Mikey and Donnie and waited for their brother in the sewers below. Raphael took in a deep breath letting it out slowly. He looked over at Destiny, she stood there with her hair falling around her shoulders. 

He stepped closer to her and let a small smile find it's way to his face. 

Destiny smiled crossing her arms over her chest gently. "You'd better get going."

He rose back up and nodded his head. "Thank you for everything." He silently whispered before disappearing.

Destiny stood on her apartment with herself and her child once again. Like it had always been, before him. Somewhere inside of her, she didn't want him to leave. But another part knew it's what he had to do. She sighed looking down at Chase who was still staring out the window.

"He'll be back, right mommy?" He asked hopefully.

"I hope..." She replied nervously biting her lip.
