Chapter 14 - feelings

After i get changed we all meet Outside. "So what do you guys want to do now?" I ask. "I have to go home now. My mom is calling me." Atlas replies. I can come with you, if you dont mind i'm alone anyways tonight" Jake says. "Okay" i say. Atlas is Heading to the bus stop as we go to the trainstation. "So..." Jake beginns, "is it ok if i sleep at your place tonight?". "Yeah, howcome?" I ask. "My mother isnt the nicest one. She hated me because i'm not like my other siblings." He says. "Oh..." I mutter, "howcome you are different?". "I'm gay, my mother always treats me like a piece of shit and She also blames the death of my father on me." He says. "I.. I didn't know that." I say, "you want a hug?". All of a sudden he hugs me and says thankyou. I hug him back. The rest of the walk we remain silent. At one point jake starts holding my paw. We keep on walking casually, paw in paw.

-At home-
As we got home we got greeted by my mother. "Oh hey jake" she said. "Hey mrs. Stone" jake said. We got inside and took off our shoes and jackets. "Hey mom" i say "is it ok if jake sleeps here tonight?". "Sure, no problem. Just make sure he has somewhere to sleep".
We get upstairs and i set up a matress on the floor for jake. After that we go downstairs to eat dinner. We had mexican food that night. After dinner we went to watch a movie. "Horror, romance, comedy or cartoon" i ask him. "Horror is good" he says. "O-okay...". I push in the dvd and pressed start. Soon after it started, i jumped into jakes lap because of a jumpscare. After a few minutes i got back to my seat, soon finding myself back in jakes lap. I fell asleep during the movie, eventhough it was so scary. Jake carried me upstairs after the movie and tucked me into my bed, and layed himself in his bed.
After a while i woke up, only to notice that jake was shaking in panic. "You ok buddy?" I ask. No response. "Jake?" I say a little louder. No response. He seems to have a bad dream. I went down to jakes matress and layed down next to him. He looks at me and looks back away. I get under his blanket and hug him. We both fall back asleep.
