"Where will u be sleeping?" I asked, concerned that he didn't have enough room.
"You can take the bed, ill take the couch" he accomplices the old faded couch that stood in the corner of the room. I looked at it, then looked at him, then looked at it again, then back at him.
"You won't fit, giant" I waved my hands gesturing to his body and how he was a giraffe. He shrugged then did that half smile that I loved.
I smacked back, but it wasn't long before I found myself on a bed. Just siting there.
I walked out in to the kitchen to see that the giraffe was sitting on a stood with his lap top. I came over and peered over his shoulder.
" Hey, whatcha working on?" I asked, so innocently.
"Just a plan for my college" he said and never took his eyes off of the computer. I rubbed his shoulders and he just in tensed completely. He turned around.
"You know you're the best roommate I've ever had" he said
I blushed and looked at him with my wide brown eyes.
"You should tell me more about you. I am living with you" I said looking around the small apartment.
"Well, I just came to Notre Dame, I don't like chocolate, I love sports..." he trailed off. I looked at him and he stopped.
"I meant about your background information. Just the basics"
He looked at me and smiled.i smiled back and started to get redder by the second.
"I was adopted,"
"Woah! Stop right there!" I interrupted him and my face grew more red. He looked at me confused as if he'd said something offensive.
"I was too"
He let out a sigh of relief. I could tell he was holding his breath like he did something wrong. Our faces both started fading back to our normal colours.
"You scared me" he said and we laughed. Good times like this are supposed to be remembered and, so far, it has been put in to a special file in my head.
"Okay, anyways, I got kicked out and abused, thrown on the streets, then I found a guy who had a place for a roommate. Then he moved out and it got really quiet in here" he said looking around the room, sadly.
"And then I found you!" He said joyfully.
"The same things happened to me!" I said, "except for the abuse part. My parents were chill until they through me out"
He saw the tears forming in my eyes and stood up. He looked down at my stubby self and grabbed me by the waist.
"That will never happen again. You will never be un-wanted by me. I promise."
And with that, he pressed his lips against mine.
