Sans had called Alphys after seeing the condition of Papyrus's soul.  But , when Alphys finally arrived, Papyrus had already passed out, so she and Sans had to carry him to the lab.

Sans, who is sitting next to his younger brother, watches the unsteady heart beat that belongs to Papyrus.

"I-I....how did....h-he even....S-sans....f-for a mark like t-that to be on a s-soul....h-he would have h-had to been a-attacked by something....w-with e-extreme power...." Alphys says with a bit disbelief and confused threaded into her voice.

Sans looks down, realizing with dismay that Alphys would have to know this mark in his brother's soul had come from that creature that had attacked Papyrus last night.

"Well, you see Alph....he....was attacked by a creature, I couldn't get a good look at it, but it hit his soul..."  Sans mumbles, giving up a bit of the information he thought he would take to his grave.

Alphys closes her eyes for a moment, probably thinking.  She opens them a few seconds later... and sighs.

"I-I....have...a..m-medication...that c-can...fix h-his soul...." Alphys stutters uneasily.

Sans senses she isn't giving him the full story, and stares at her with a calm expression, waiting for her to continue.

Alphys sighs deeply, knowing Sans will need an explanation of the medicine, and its side-effects.

"I-It....has some.....strong..s-side effects..." Alphys mumbles without making eye-contact.

Sans eyes narrow a bit with curiosity, and worry.

"Like what?" Sans asks.

"U-Uh....H-headache, C-chills, loss of a-appetite, b-blindness, a-and blood loss.....w-which won't effect him...."  Alphys mumbles to Sans.

Sans is taken aback. 'Blindness?!  Would his brother really go blind if he were to take this medication?!'  Sans thinks to himself.

"Alphys...are you sure there is nothing else you can do, like healing, or anything?!"  Sans asks desperately trying to find some other solution.

"I-Im sorry Sans.....o-other medications f-for this type of w-wound, will be v-vaporized by the virus i-itself."  Alphys replies, cutting out any hope for another solution.

Sans sighs.

"Shouldn't we wait for Papyrus to wake up, it is his soul after all...."  Sans says after thinking for a moment.

Alphys thinks for a moment, then looks up at Sans.

"S-sans....the virus is spreading a-at such a f-fast rate.........." Alphys hesitates, thinking.

"He...w-would have to wake up in 2 hours at the most......or else...it will be too late to stop the virus."  Alphys finishes.

Sans nods, knowing the chances of his brother waking up in two hours in such a state is very slim, and he accepts the fact that now, there is no other option but to use the medicine, and hope it gets rid of the virus.
