of orange bottles and white coats.
We are the generation
of drinking alone to quench the pain,
of drugs coursing through our veins to make the sadness go away,
of needles and shot glasses.
We are the generation
of the "academically competitive ",
of panic attacks every night,
of straight A's and hallow eyes.
We are the generation
of whispers behind palms,
of fake smiles to hide the judgment,
of the hateful and the lonely.
We are the generation
of skipped dances and skipped meals,
of scales weighed heavy with broken hearts,
of self loathing and heartbreak .
