3rd POV
A sigh escapes the lips of a young girl, her heart heavy once again as it is everyday. Still, she adjusts her book bag on her shoulders and keeps walking through the school halls, ready for her first day back to school.
Dark, wondering eyes compliment the straight brown bangs against her olive complexion. She tucks a stray strand behind her ear as she looks over the door signs, looking for the homeroom number that matched the one on her schedule. After a few more tentative steps, she finds it, and carefully pokes her head in the doorway to peer inside.
"Good morning, my child!" The tall goat-woman greets from inside. She motions for the young girl to take an empty seat, greeting the next string of students who walk in just as the girl takes a seat.
Oh! How silly am I? I completely forgot to introduce her to you! I'm such a forgetful author...maybe I should stop breaking the fourth wall now.
This lovely young lady, with brown hair and determined eyes, is named Frisk. She's currently 17 years old, and her birthday is within the next month!
'That means I'll be celebrating another year by myself.. again..' Frisk's voice chimes through her head, as if she's almost aware that there is someone narrating for her.
The morning bell chimes, and by now all of the remaining students have filed into the classroom, except for one, who calmly walks in minutes later.
"Sorry I'm late. I didn't take note of the time." He said casually, his lips curled upward in a cheesy grin. Despite his tardiness, the teacher chuckled softly and waved it off.
"Well, I must instruct you to be better about it next time." She said, more chuckles escaping her, and by then, majority of the class was groaning at the bad jokes. Pulling herself together, she directed the student to take the last empty seat, beside our lovely Frisk.
"Good morning, class. My name is Mrs. Dremurr, but most people prefer to call me Ms. Toriel. I am your homeroom teacher as of this hour, but I also teach history and literature as a main course, but as an elective the school allows me to teach students the power of their SOULS. Since we do not have much to cover on the first day back, I would like each of you to introduce yourselves. We'll go down the rows.."
One by one, each student introduced themselves, typically stating their name, age, a few things they're interested in before moving on to the next person. They were generic and automated responses that each student said in the same monotone voice, one after another.
Except her.
She stood up calmly from her desk and smiled shyly at her classmates, before taking a deep breath before speaking.
"Hello! I'm Frisk! I'm seventeen years old, and I like to dance-"
"Oh! That's lovely!! I used to love dancing! Tell me, Frisk, how do you like to dance?"
Surprised that the teacher cut her off, Frisk's Cheeks bloomed into a soft pink hue, and she smiled shyly again before continuing.
"M-mostly ballet and contemporary, but I also like jazz, tap, and a few other styles too. The only one I'm not too great at is hip-hop..."
A deep, lazy voice chuckled besides her, and Frisk turned to look at the student over her shoulder.
"I think dancing is cool, though I'm not too jazzed you don't like hip-hop." A lazy smile curled his cheeks upward gently, and Frisk's own bloomed another shade of pink.
"Heheh...I guess you could say I'm...not hip enough?" Frisk mumbled, and for the first time in a long time, Sans stopped for a moment, before busting out into a fit of giggles, wiping a tear away from his face.
