So Luke said he'll come see me today, at noon. To take my mind off things and stuff.

To get to know me and I guess cheer me up or something cheesy like that.

Then again, I am the one who started our friendship with a cheesy joke about cheesy pizza.

Lukey: I'm here.. I think..

I giggle and set my phone down, not bothering too clear the message from my home screen.

I walk to my front door and swing it open after unlocking it. I look up and grin when I see Luke standing and smiling widely at me as well, his teeth showing and lip piercing shining in the Cali sun.

I squeal and run at him, he catches my waist with his hands just as I jump and I wrap my arms around his neck.

"Luke!" I cheer, squeezing my eyes shut.

"You're a lot tinier in person." He smirks.

"Yeah well you're a lot bigger in person!" I counter back at him, "And your voice is hella deeper!"

He chuckles and rolls his eyes, setting me back on my feet.

"Come on in!"

I grab his hand and one out of two of his bags, helping him bring them inside.

After closing and locking the door, I skip into the kitchen.

"Are you hungry or thirsty?" I ask politely, glancing at him over my shoulder to see him leaning against the counter.

"A beer would be nice if you have some." He replies.

"Naughty, aren't you like 20?" I laugh, opening my fridge and bending down to grab a beer.

It's quiet for a moment while I try and jiggle the stupid bottle out of the carrier.

"Luke?" I sing, finally getting the bottle out and standing.

"What? Yeah. 20. How about you?" He asks, scratching the back of his neck.

"18 in a week!"

I hand him his beer and he thanks me, turning and catching sight of my phone that lights up at a notification, probably from the group chat.

"My contact is set as Lukey?"

Fuck.
