"Lin. Lin, wake up." Cosima pushed on Lin Chung's chest.

It had been about two weeks since the team fought Twin Masters and learned of Cosima's past. Not much had happened since then. Cosima and Lin got together, though if you asked them, they were just training partners, and Twin Masters had made subtle apperances throughout the kingdom, causing widespread panic. Lin and Cosima had begun to share a bed just to keep each other in check due to their energies canceling each other out. Without Cosima to keep Lin in check, he randomly wakes and his hand will be lit with his hamonic energy and won't turn off. Therefore, Cosima now stays in the same bed as him.

"What is it?" Lin muttered, yawning.

"I need a breath of fresh air, so I'm going outside." Cosima smiled and tucked him in.

"Not without protection..." Lin slurred his words, exhausted from yesterday's training.

"I'll be fine. Just sleep tight and don't let your hands light." Cosima tossed her portion of the blankets over him and kissed his forehead before going outside.

It was still dark and a part of the moon was still visible on the horizon behind Big Green as Cosima left the large building to enter the trees that were a distance from it. She knew Lin was following her, but refused to make any notation of it. She finally reached a clearing in the woods and sat at the base of a tree, listening to the soft chirping of crickets.

"Cosima?" Lin looked around in confusion.

"Over here, Lin." Cosima tossed a stick that managed to bump his back.

The grey-haired warrior sat down next to her and held her hand in his. Cosima smiled and leaned against him, looking at the clearing in front of them.

"Lin?" Cosima peeked up at him.

"Yes?"

"Let's play a game. I'll tell you a story from when I was young, and you tell me a story from when your were young." Cosima offered.

"Let's not and say we did..." Lin looked down at the ground.

"What's wrong, Lin?"Cosima looked in concern at him.

"Nothing, it's just... When I was younger, before I met my master, I had two sisters. My parents had left us as soon as we were old enough to understand things. We lived on our own for many years and in that time I managed to build a rickety shed like home for us. It wasn't perfect, but it kept the rain off our heads. My youngest sister was weak and still just a baby when my master found me. He offered me a home and training to protect my family. I took his offer without hesitation and he said that we would leave immediately. I didn't even get to tell my sisters what was going on before I left. Years later, I returned to the shack, my training was finished with my master. But the shack was gone. It was in shambles and I had no clue if either sister lived or not. So I ran. That's when I found Big Green and well... You can guess the rest." Lin had managed to get a stick and draw in the dirt a small shack with three children in front of it, only they had ears on top of their heads instead of the side.

"Lin... I hate to critique your artwork, but the ears got on the side of the head." Cosima had snuggled into his side to try and comfort him and was watching him draw.

"Not for my family." Lin sighed and lift his hat off his head.

There were two cat-like ears hidden amongst his hair that caused Cosima to squeal and reach for them. Lin quickly put his hat back on before she could touch them though. Cosima was midfrown when a whistling sound caught their attention. Both looked in the direction of the sound and saw a ninja star flying towards them. Diving out of the way, the star embedded itself where Lin's head was moments before.

"Cosima, are you okay?" Lin looked at his friend.

"I'm fine, are you?" Cosima stood and lit her hand.

"I'm alright." Lin looked around for the owner of the star, but jumped out of the way when more stars appeared out of nowhere.

"Lin!" Cosima began to try and blast the stars midair, but missed many.

Lin Chung used his bamboo shots to shoot the stars out of the air and looked around for any more. He made his way next to Cosima and the two stood back to back, waiting for the attacker, Cosima pressed a button on her belt which sent a signal to First Squad saying that they needed help.

"How many are there?" Cosima looked around.

"I don't know. Its like a ghost." Lin kept his eyes on the treeline for the asaultant.

"Ouch!" Cosima jumped and held her foot in pain.

"What happened, are you okay?" Lin looked in concern.

"Yeah, just stepped on a bamboo shot. You keep those pretty sharp. Ow..." Cosima winced when she set her foot down.

"You should sit down." Lin wrapped her arm around his shoulder.

"Not in the middle of a fight!" Cosima snapped and pulled away from him, hopping on one foot.

"The assassin only seems to be going for me." Lin watched as Cosima tripped and fell back against a tree.

"What's going on guys?" Mighty Ray spoke as he pulled in on a turtle with the rest of First Squad.

"There is an assassin nearby that is going for me. Cosima hurt her foot and cannot walk." Lin explained.

"Where is Cos?" Everyone looked around, but the girl was no where to be found.

Meanwhile, in the surrounding forest...

"Nononononono..." Cosima shook her head and limped away from the rest of the team.

"Found her!" yelling from behind caused Cosmia to attempt to speed up.

"Not now... Not now..." Cosima mumbled and tried to get further away from her team.

She turned to see if she could see anyone and slammed into something face first. Falling back, Cosima looked up to see a woman, who seemed about the same age if not younger, in all black with a purple hooded cape flowing down to her ankles. Her grey hair was protruding from a hole in her headpiece and there were two small ears on the top of her head. Cosmia frowned and lifted a finger for a second before the woman knocked her unconsious with a single blow to the head.
