Paige's Pov*
I looked at him. Even under the dark sky, the thick puffy clouds, and the stares from everybody in the room, his eyes were still glistening shades of emerald. He looked so handsome today in his well fitted black suit with a white tie. Even through many layers of clothing, I could still see his large muscles. His curls were gelled back slightly, his jaw strong and prominent.
Its funny to think that with just two simple words, you can seal love between two people forever. Just with the words "I do", one has promised to dedicate their whole life for someone else, to be fully committed, and to share a love that is infinite.
And those where the words I were about to say.
Before I did though, I continued staring at him. Our relationship was not perfect; we argued and fought all the time. But we did have something in common, we were both crazy about each other.
Through this whole experience, I have learnt an important lesson.
You see love is the most extraordinary experience. People crave love everyday but very few get to experience it. Love is a fairy tale; it brings smiles, laughter and joy. Love is waking up in the morning and realising that reality is far better than the dreams. Love is connection, wanting someone so much that you cannot bear to be apart. Love is the need to spend every moment together. Love, it is beautiful.
But love isn't always a fairy tale. It is also a nightmare. Love is caring about someone so much that they can hurt you. They can turn your life upside down, causing you loneliness and sorrow. They can taunt you with demons. Love is putting your life at someone else's hands so that they have the power to do anything. They can offer you happiness and care, or pain and heartbreak.
Because beyond all, love is imperfect.
Someone once told me that "You come to love not by finding the perfect person, but by learning to see an imperfect person perfectly".
Now I believe her.
