*Christina's POV*
During the commercial break,
Christina was in her dressing room
doing her vocal warm ups. She still
felt super nervous, and she tried to be
calm. Linda, one of her best friends and
supporters was with her, and she then
asked her,"So what do think of Adam?
He seemed very intrigued by you
during the interview, and he's
obviously super HOT!" Christina
laughed and responded,"He is without
a doubt good looking. He's super sweet
too."
"Would you ever go out with him? I
mean, he's single! You better get with
him before someone else does!" Linda
responded. Christina just shook her
head and looked at Linda like she was
crazy. Then, she heard a knock on her
door. "Who is it?"she asked.
"It's Adam," the voice replied.
"Come in!" Linda shouted.
"Hey. I just wanted to come in and
wish you luck before you went on,"
Adam explained. Christina smiled
sweetly and said,"Thanks Adam. I
really appreciate it. Thank you for
being so kind." Adam smiled back at
her and replied,"Anytime." They then
just stared at each other for a good 15
seconds before Linda interrupted and
said,"Christina it's time for you to go
on!" Christina looked at Adam one last
time and he said,"You're going to do
great." They then walked out of the
room and Christina walked onstage.
She then lifted her microphone up to
her mouth, and began to sing.
*Adam's POV*
Adam stood backstage, watching her. She was singing 'Beautiful', and he was completely drawn. He was mesmerized by her beauty and her voice. Jesse noticed him staring at her and then, teasingly, he said," Looks like someone got bit by the love bug!"
Adam turned around and slightly blushed, looking embarrassed.
"Ask her out man!" Jesse said.
"I don't think so. No girl that beautiful is single, and plus, I don't think she feels the same way I do for her. I'm sure she knows that I'm what everyone calls a player and that I don't like serious, long-term, relationships," Adam responded.
"Well it looks like you really like her. I've been watching how you've been looking at her all day today, and your eyes are telling a different story," explained Jesse.
"It doesn't hurt to try Adam."
By that time, Christina had finished singing, and she walked towards the backstage.
"Hey guys!" she greeted.
"You were amazing out there. You never disappoint and you sound even better live!" Adam praised.
"Thanks Ad. You're too kind," she blushed.
"Adam, we're on in five!" shouted Ryan.
"Good luck," Christina smiled.
"Thanks."
*Christina's POV*
Christina stood backstage watching Adam and the guys perform their song 'She Will Be Loved'. She mainly looked at Adam, who to her was no doubt the most handsomest guy in the world. Linda seemed to notice it too.
"Girl, you look like you're gonna fall head over heals for that man," she said.
Christina stared at her best friend and agent, thinking she has gone crazy.
"I don't like him. Yes, he is pretty handsome, and super sweet, but I don't think he's into me. And, well, people say he's never kept a long-lasting relationship," Christina explained.
Linda then gave her a look like she was being dumb, and then said," It doesn't hurt to try Christina."
Christina then turned her head back to Adam, who seemed really connected to the song. She couldn't deny that she had started to feel something for him. His perfect eyes, his perfect hair, his sexy voice, those muscles and tattoos ....
*Stop it Christina, stop it* she thought to herself.
*We're just impossible*
Just then, Adam and the boys finished the song, and the crowd was cheering. Christina was then called up onstage, and the host thanked everyone for tuning into tonight's episode. Adam and Christina smiled, and waved at the cameras until one of the cameramen said,"Well that's a wrap everyone! Nice Job!"
"It was a great show," Adam said as he looked at Christina.
"It really was! You guys were amazing out there! I love that song by the way. You seemed really connected to it while you were singing. Did you write it?' Christina asked.
Adam smiled, and replied," Yeah, I did. The whole album is about this one girl I dated a few years ago. Her name was Jane, that is why the album is called 'Songs About Jane'. She broke my heart, and I've never really have been able to get over her. She was my world."
At this point, Adam's eyes were watery, but he continued, feeling like he could pour his whole heart out to her.
"She was the only girl I have truly ever loved, until she broke my heart in a way I never thought possible. That's why I don't like long-lasting relationships because I feel like I'm going to get hurt again. I guess I'm just scared."
Christina stood there, looking at him. She felt bad for him. Then, she had this urge to hug him, so that's what she did.
Adam was surprised at first, but not wanting to let this opportunity pass, he wrapped his arms around her, giving him butterflies.
Christina felt a sense of security being wrapped in his arms, and she liked it.
