6:00 a.m
"Laina" whispered the intruder in her room as he started to shake her shoulder a little. She mumbled her words of hate as she opened her eyes seeing a slightly tall guy who was light skined with blue eyes and hair that was braided all the way back and down to the middle of his back.
"What do you want Marquis" said Elaina sleepily and frustrated that he woke her up before her alarm went off. AGAIN.
"I wanted to be the first to say Happy Birthday"
"Well thanks but I'm going back to--"
"Wait"!!!!
"What is it Marquis?"
"Wanna have a movie marathon at my house for your birthday"
"Really, u never invite me to your house"
"I'm serious, yes or no"
"Fine, yes"
"Really, that's great"
She could tell that he was really excited that she had said yes, but she could also tell that he was hiding something.
"Marquis"
"Yea Elaina"
"You're hiding something aren't you?"
"N-No why do u ask?"
Anyone could see that he was lying but before she could speak he cut her off.
"Well I better go, I have to get ready for school in an hour, see ya later"
He waved goodbye as he left. Elaina finally got comfortable and laid down to finish her rest when her alarm clock went off signaling that it was time to get ready for school. She growled at her clock and turned it off. She ever so slowly dragged herself out of bed and started her morning routine. Since her foster mom hadn't done laundry yet all she had was a pair of jeans with a black shirt that says"I speak fluent sarcasm" in bold letters. When she was dressed she put on her hoodie and all black sneakers. She decided to just leave her hair down for today. Her foster dad offered her a ride to school but she kindly declined and started walking. She was there in 20 minutes, as she walked passed her classmates in the hallway she could hear them mumbling about her.
"This is gonna be a long day" she mumbled to herself.
