After being in that school for 8 hours Elaina was finally home getting ready to go over Marquis's dad's house. She was so excited to finally get out of that house.
"Where are you going?"
Elaina jumped slightly and turned around to see her foster mom.
"Over a friend's house"
"What friend, u barely have any"
" I have friends I just don't bring them around u"
She could tell by the look on her foster mom's face that she had become angry and offended.
"Well maybe this friend will let u stay with them from now on!"
"What!!"
"You heard me, when u leave take your stuff with you. I'm tired of the disrespect I get from u after all the shit I do for you!!"
"U never do anything for me dammit!! I do everything for myself and if living with Marquis means I never have to see you again then fine I'll leave"
"Marquis? Your friend is a guy. No wonder your okay with living with him, I knew from the moment I saw u that you were a-"
"Don't u dare finish that sentence because you know what it takes one to know one and your the biggest whore I know!!"
And with that Elaina stormed past her "mom" and left, she kept walking even after hearing her mom screaming her name down the street telling her to come back.
After an hour of walking she finally made it to the house where Marquis was waiting on the porch. When he saw her, he ran to her and hugged her.
"I told my dad what happened and he's happy to have you"
"Thanks Marquis"
Anything for you. Come on Dream already set up your room."
"Alright let's go"
They spent 30 minutes putting up her clothes and getting her settled. They then went downstairs to get ready for the marathon.
"Hey I hope you don't mind but I told my brother he could join us"
"No problem"
Just as she said that the front door opened and when she looked up her eyes met the most beautiful set of Hazel eyes she ever saw.
