_____4 months after the kyuubi attack________

"Hokage-sama, we've been unsuccessful in finding Naruto." A young Kakashi and Itachi were kneeled in front of the angered Hokage's desk.

Hiruzen Sarutobi was openly crying. "I understand... Damn the snake!" Hiruzen slammed his fist onto the desk, splintering it.

Itachi was roughly fourteen years old and Kakashi was roughly nineteen. Both exceptionally loyal anbu. "We could search outside the village, but it could take years." Kakashi suggested.

Hiruzen nodded. "Not only is he the son of the Yondaime, but he is a jinchuriki...so even the council shouldn't bitch about this. Very well, I'll give you a mission that will span the next few years, you may come back for one week out of every month for a break but I want that boy found."

_______Unknown Location_________

"Kukuku... he's taking the adaptations easily, even though they'd kill any normal human... must be a product of his cells absorbs red chakra from his mother's womb and the being given the beast himself." A tall pale man with long slick black hair stood over a baby with a green chakra over his hands and a sinister look in his pale yellow eyes.

The baby had blonde hair but red eyes and three whisker marks on each cheek.

In a glass case that was covered in complicated looking cells was a man with a black jacket, ninja pants, and black ninja shoes with the toes covered. He had red eyes as well but with straight black hair and a look of hatred directed at Orochimaru. "You know, once I'm out of here...I'll tear you limb from limb."

"I know you believe that, Raizen, but as soon as I figure out how to take your abilities without your permission, I'll be too strong for you. Ah, if only my body were as resilient to the dark powers you possess as this boy is." Orochimaru grinned. "I haven't had time to do much yet, but he will be much more durable after a few more experiments, and he'll likely be stronger than you by the time he's in his late teens to early twenties."

"You're making an abomination." Raizen narrowed his eyes, making Orochimaru pause when Raizen's iris and pupil became different shades of yellow.

"I wasn't aware you had a doujutsu." Orochimaru looked at Naruto's eyes.

Raizen scoffed. "You don't need a doujutsu to do this. The clarity at which you see is determined by the amount of 'cones' in your eyes. I'm simply increasing the number and creating chemicals in my brain for a type of telescopic, thermal, and ex-ray vision. The way you're bonding my tissue to his organs would kill any normal human in seconds you know."

"Well you could save this boy, and countless other children I'm going to do this to before I do it correctly, show me how it's properly done and I'll only turn myself." Orochimaru sneered at Raizen, knowing he wouldn't give up the secret to his power.

Raizen turned away, knowing his people would come for him. The only question was when.

______10 years later____________

Orochimaru entered the lab, smiling at Raizen as he passed by.

The years had gone by slowly for Raizen, Orochimaru kept him and Naruto isolated in glass cages. Perhaps the only kindness he'd been given was that he and the young boy could communicate because of the seals on their cages that not only held them inside but transfered sound easily.

"Raizen, would you care to tell me why you refuse to help me? Naruto is my only success and I can't even control him with genjutsu, whether it's the bijuu inside him or your inherent resistance to chakra I haven't the slightest." Orochimaru wasn't happy, he had been attacked by two people with powers like Raizens (though significantly weaker).
