First, there was an agency. Where did it come from? From where, we don't know, but we've been called, and the offer was too good to ignore. We're gathered in an office: Me, a lanky dude named Oliver who I'm guessing is the camera guy-- so typical; and an old man... whose purpose I'm not sure of. I mean, he looks too old to be a field worker! He could be my great granddad or my ancestor for chrissakes! And oh, a bulky guy that looks like he could pin everyone down in this room with one swoop.
When I took on this project I was told most of their writers have disappeared-- if they didn't lose a limb or two. It sure sounds dangerous, but I'm all for thrills and knowing what's beyond here.
Miss Smith is sitting on her chair, staring at us attentively. I usually read people easily, but she's just a puzzle to me. What is she thinking? Why, of all the applicants, did she choose us?
First location is a bit of a disappointment for me just because I've expected too much for the first day. Philadelphia. An interview with a business mogul. Great. Here I was thinking it would be somewhere more exciting, but, I guess I can't complain! Mr. Maxwell is known not only for his business and career but also his unquestionable sex appeal!
