I looked inside my cream colored room as I

started to pull out my bags, apparently, even

if my parents miserably failed to become the

type of parents as child needs, they managed

to give me all the material things that did not

even matter to me. A large Black 32 inch flat

screen tv hanging on the wall right in front

of my Sky blue bed. My Laptop sitting on top

of my dirty white study table, my phone that

is also right beside my laptop was still very

much alive after 4 hours of playing candy

crush and zombie tsunami. My headphones,

earphones and other wires that can be useful

in all the technical stuffs that kept me busy.

At least those things managed to grab my

attention from sulking in corner and wishing

that I should have just died right then and

there.

“You packed everything?” Mom asked as she stood behind me.

I answered her with a nod, and looked at her,

her eyes seemed to tell me something,

remorse? Guilt? Love? Nah! My parents

especially my mother is not capable of those

things. I looked away sparing my eyes from

the tears that wanted to escape, the tears

that I am referring to are the tears of joy

that I will be out of their lives.

“Why didn’t you bring your laptop?” she asked

as she went inside my room, “your ipad, and

your phone too..”

“I’ll be staying at gradma’s right? The

reception there is not good and I really don’t

need those stuffs..” I said without looking

back at her. “and it’s not like both you and

dad are going to contact me anyway.” I added

adding bitterness to my voice.

“We’ll contact you. we promise, so just bring

these with you.. it’s the only way that we can

contact you and know that you’re safe..”

She added as she packed those stuff inside the

available bag near her.

I rolled my eyes, as if they would call me, as

if they would actually try to care.

“Your dad, he won’t be travelling with us..”

She said while she entered the car and turned

the ignition on. “He-“

“He’s busy with your divorce papers I know.”

I coldly answered.

She stared at me for the longest time

possible, I guess she’s not really a big fan of

me being able to talk back to her.

“Look, I know that you are not happy about

this, that you—“

“Mom, save the drama later.” I coldly said.

She looked at me with disbelief in her eyes.

“Why are you acting like this, the daughter

that I know is not-“

“Well you don’t know me, you never did.” I

said ending our conversation as I placed my

headphones on my head.
